Roseanne's Weak Apology on Hannity

But this wasn’t her first stroll in Twitterland. Nor is it the first time she’s had negative feedback re: her Tweets. She knew how Twitter works and who her audience was. After all, she got a lot of heat for those pre-Jarrett Tweets. Remember the outrage when she Tweeted a doctored image of Parkland survivor David Hyde allegedly giving the Nazi salute?

I just don’t buy that Barr was attempting an edgy bit.

I have to admit I don’t, actually.

Nor do I, I thought the Jarrett bit was meant for a very specific audience to which insulting Jared isn’t edgy; it would just be funny. Similarly, Noah’s comments about Aboriginal women aren’t edgy, either, to a South African audience.

For either of them, though, Twitter is full of edges because the receptivity of the general audience is not guaranteed. I am certain I am not articulating this well and will give it more thought.

Roseanne:
STFU. Go away. You haven’t been relevant in a long, long time. You’re too stupid to realize you are an embarrassment. An argument could be made that you were funny at one time, p but I think people were just laughing at, not with you.

STFU, you’re irrelevant and not funny: I was thinking that as I watched Hannity (and I hadn’t remembered the national anthem incident). I changed the channel.

True, but the fact that John McCain was born in the Canal Zone doesn’t make him a cargo ship.

Roseanne had also previously called Susan Rice, Obama’s African-American security adviser, “a man with big swinging ape balls”.

What is odd about her haircut? Please tell me. It’s just an ordinary haircut. She does not have odd-looking skin, either. Her face doesn’t look like a mask at all. Where do you get all this? She just looks like a person.

And people look weird!

Ah the beauty of the Internets.

People can only tell how ugly you are by what you say.

It’s illegal to fire someone specifically for having a disability. It is not illegal to fire someone for actions they take, even if they claim the actions are caused by a disability. For example, it’s illegal to fire Joe for the reason “He’s an alcoholic”. It’s perfectly legal, however, to fire Joe for “Joe showed up to work drunk”, because being drunk is not actually a disability. You can’t legally fire someone for “being bipolar”, but you can fire someone for “making racist statements and hurting the show’s ratings”, even if they blame the statements on a disability.
