In light of Toronto mayor Rob Ford’s admissions of drug use, I’m interested in knowing what most people of his demographics have experimented with. He’s late 40ish I believe and our crowd here should be fairly representative of that age group.

How come you dropped speed from the other list?
There are a few more that aren’t on your list. I had a very interesting few years in college. 
Someone suggested speed and meth were the same. I have no experience in this particular field.

And you probably should have specified which drugs have been used for recreational use rather than for medical purposes…for example, anybody who’s had surgery has probably had an opiate painkiller in post op.
Just sayin’.
Oh, and back in the dark ages when I tried ‘speed’, it was a dexamphetamine, not a methamphetamine.

Crack is wack and opiates are nasty, the rest I tried in my 20’s. No MDMA, speed etc makes it an incomplete list.
And mushrooms, peyote etc.

I suppose I should have included mushrooms. Peyote is such a weird, and I assume, regional drug that it never occurred to me. I’ve never met anyone who has openly spoke about peyote.
MDMA?
Definitely need a few more categories there for things like ecstacy (most which is now really falsely labeled), bath salts (not that I’d ever even think of trying that shit), etc.
Why is there no choice for ‘nothing’ or ‘none of the above’?

Hah! I tried mushies once. Went picking with my SIL and BIL, they brewed up a tea or something, and suffice to say, I’m not going anywhere near a mushroom again. 
It’s worse than you thought; he’s 44 apparently.
Oh yeah similar, once only damn it was scary. Out the back of Healesville if memory serves me right!
Back in the day (early '90s) we did get MDMA when we purchased Ecstasy (friends had testers from Amsterdam) but I am guessing today it is a bit of a lottery.
Tell me about it. I came of age in the 1970s. Don’t think there even was crack cocaine then, was there? All the other stuff was just part of the rites of passage, heh. And I knew a lot of hippies.
I was a ‘late bloomer’ to most drugs (apart from alcohol and dope) so only attempted LSD in the early 90’s too. I bought the drugs from a trusted friend, had the kids babysat for a long weekend, made sure I had another trusted friend to be with me, popped the acid and waited…
…and waited
…and waited…
And nothing bloody happened. Others who had partaken of the same batch recorded wonderful experiences! I tried again a few weeks later thinking there was something amiss with MY sample, but again, nada. I still feel deprived!
When my kids had grown, they offered me a try of ecstasy, and whaddya know?? Again, no response.
Fuggit…just pass me a glass of chards will ya??
