Baker, yep! (For the uninitiated, Fenris and I have some sort of weird Vulcan mind meld where his mindset is transparent, requiring no reasoning but appearing as an obvious gestalt, to me and vice versa. This is particularly true in our reading tastes – I need only read a small portion of a book to know, without logging on and asking him, what his opinion of it is. My intent was to test Monstre to see if he’s the third member of our bizarre trinity.

A quick Google showed that it comes from Heinlein, but I don’t know which work, as I haven’t read any of his stuff yet.
On reading tastes – mostly Sci-Fi/Fantasy, with some mystery, humor, and classics mixed in. Currently re-reading Lord of the Rings.
As for reading tastes that exemplify my mindset and reasoning… well… You’ve heard of Douglas Adams, right? 
From where I’m standing it looks like Monstre posted at 5:42 PM ET and Fenris posted at 5:59 PM ET and so, Monstre beat Fenris by 17 minutes. Or does the speed of light enter into this?
Just to clarify: Posts are time stamped with the server’s (Central) time and you can choose an offset for yourself but that means nothing as the offset is the same for all posts.
Unless the meaning of
was a joke meaning "the idea ocurred to me two hours “in my day” before it came to you “in your day”. If that was meant to be a joke then it was pretty obscure. Besides, I can’t see quite the merit of the argument: “yes it ocurred to you first but I had not had lunch yet”.
