When Laura Bush was 17, she was in an auto accident that killed the driver of the other car. She was apparently at fault (she ran a stop sign), but was not charged with a crime.
Thanks.

And by pretty much all center-to-left Americans.
Yeah, I shot a man there just to watch him die . . .
Teenage car accident. Second worst decision she ever made.
Did it really happen in Reno?
He goes to Der Weinerschnitzel?
No, it was in Midland, Texas, the home town of Laura Bush (then Laura Welch).
Phew, I’m glad that this fact is settled. I thought the story got weirder and weirder.
Well, it was never a weird story - a teenage girl killed somebody in a traffic accident, that’s not outlandish. People are linking it to songs and ad campaigns just as jokes.
Well, there may be tragic and/or strange stories in many people’s lives, but when you first hear of an event like this in such a prominent person’s life, it’s always a bit surprising.
Heck, when Barack Obama was in high school, he wrote a friendly thank-you note to his weed dealer in a yearbook.
Well, that’s really a minor event compared to someone being killed in a car accident.
I dunno… Americans love their cars but they can get really bent out of shape when it comes to drugs.
So? Who didn’t?
I get that, but that doesn’t speak well for your (the average American’s) priorities.
You don’t understand.
We love our cars physically.
I, personally, have been arrested more than once for doing indecent things to tailpipes in public.
Now I see. You’re all perverts.
Isn’t that obvious?!
