Ahh, Rush. One of my favorite bands growing up, yet also like an old girlfriend I remember fondly, talk to occasionally, but never make much of an effort to keep tabs on.
Saw them at the Hi Fi Buys Amphitheater down here in Atlanta last night for their Snakes and Arrows tour opener. (I didn’t even realize it was the first show of the tour until Geddy mentioned it, honestly.)
Great show. As great as any of the numerous other times I saw them. The guys haven’t lost a step. The show is–as to be expected–visually spectacular as well, with some amusing new (at least to me) video vignettes as well.
I picked up Snakes and Arrows upon release and honestly haven’t listened to it all that many times, but hearing a lot of Snakes and Arrows live has the album back on my playlist.
I haven’t seen them since the Test for Echo tour, if I remember correctly, so there were a few other pleasant surprises for me, like Natural Science , Witch Hunt , and Digital Man .
I don’t recall the set list, but there were plenty of people around diligently writing it down so I’m certain you can find it somewhere.
Any other Dopers going to see them on this tour are in for a treat.
Take care!
