Russia probe reaches White House

The Washington Post could never be able to investigate and report on anything that could possibly harm a president’s reputation. Never happened before, amIright?

Is this parody or conspiracy theory? So hard to tell anymore.

Does he qualify as “an official”?

It’s an official position. Same one as Stephen Miller holds, apparently. He’s also been put in charge of a few agencies and task forces.

It depends on what the article means by “senior advisor”. Jared Kushner and Stephen Miller both hold the title of Senior Advisor to the President. However, the term is not capitalized so it could be referring to any high ranking advisor.

Oh, youareright!
And they keep track of lots of things, like how frequently Trump attempts to bullshit the American people:

Let’s not forget “the failing” New York Times. They’re right on his heels too.

Cue the “He went to Jared!” jokes.

Yep, gotta be him. The guy who handle all the Responsible Adult stuff Pence can’t.

Yes, kudos to them! I particularly enjoy, though, that Trump thought he was putting the Washington Post in their place, as though there was nothing they could do about it.

Palmer Report dances on the border between wild-assed speculation and straight out conspiracy theory.

Declare the CIA, the FBI, the NYT and WaPo to be your enemies. What could possibly go wrong with that?

Did they say anything about how this bodyguard guy got to Comey’s laptop? Did Comey leave it in the lobby? The nearest Starbucks?

Dollar store Tom Clancy.

“Never get into an argument with someone who buys [invisible] ink by the barrel.”

Anyone else see that presser with the President of Columbazuela? It got off right away with a direct question about the Russian undressing, a pitch right over the plate which Trump smacked with a solid “No! Not just no, Hell no!”.

Did it look like a set-up to anybody else? Who was that guy, who signs his press pass? Trump knew who he was, apparently.

Nobody knew it was so easy to be investigated.

One wonders when the probe will reach Trump’s, uhm, you know…

On that note:

The Russian operation to compromise the Trump administration and destabilize America’s political system has to go down as one of the greatest intelligence operations in history.

I still favor the theory that Putin initially got involved to shaft Hillary, who he was pissed at for encouraging the Russian dissent movement. He was amazingly lucky, and might still have reason to regret it. He was pretty close to getting that Exxon deal up and running again, but now? Not so much.

That investigations will and probably already do include persons of interest currently serving within the administration at high levels is hardly surprising. Them not would be a shock in fact.

But I am surprised that the FBI side is not be better at not having drib and drab leaks onto the newspaper blotter.

Mind you I’m not complaining, but my expectation was that there would be a period of relative quiet coming as actual serious and non-partisan investigation of possible crimes (up to and including possible “high crimes and misdemeanors”) gets done.

I was expecting leaks (from the investigatory side, not from within the White House) to dry up, as well.
