Ruth Bader Ginsburg has passed away

Criminy! 876,000 hours is 100 years.

I’m sure she fought as hard for life as she could, but cancer don’t care shit for law or politics.

Well, there are limits, there. For instance, the filibuster rule is not part of the Constitution, merely a procedural rule of the Senate – the Constitution says only that each house of Congress shall make its own rules – and there is no conceivable legally arguable way the SCOTUS could stop the Senate from abolishing it.

Actually, I have considered that Barack himself would make a very good WH Chief of Staff. There cannot be any aspect of the job that he does not know backwards and forwards.

Oh, that would be sweeeet!

I really doubt he would want the job, and Joe would not want a younger, more-beloved ex-POTUS overshadowing him, as Obama inevitably would.

I’m also sure he would never want the job-- hell, he probably never wants to set foot in the WH again. But I like thinking about it.

You think you all are mad?

Check out this video of this woman SCREAMING about how mad she is the Ginsburg died.

Yes, its making alot of the conservative outlets but what the heck was she thinking putting something like this out on the web? Its had 4.4 million views.

It reminds me of THIS VIDEO where back in January 2016 a woman is screaming as Trump is inaugurated.

BTW, In looking at the supreme court over the years rulings and the court in general have always leaned towards the liberal side. Gays earned the right to marry. Abortion rights have been upheld. I think this whole thing is political showmanship from both sides.

SCOTUS has handed down a lot of conservative decisions in recent years, too, on gun control, campaign finance reform, voting rights, consumer protection, the separation of church and state, immigration, etc. And those more liberal decisions you mention depended on a swing voter on the court (for many years, Justice Anthony Kennedy) who’s not there anymore.

Bumped.

And again.

I’m not sure what value’s left in continuing to second guess her decision. She’s four years in the ground at this point. She rolled the dice that she’d make it until another Democratic administration, and lost. And here we are.

If this is actually the case, then this was really petulant of her. I would have stepped down and let a similar justice replace me and safeguard this or that, but I won’t because you’re nagging me.

Well RBG, your legacy is being used as toilet paper by what the court turned into after you died of spite so… I guess you showed them.
