I think the difference is that Deadpool is batshit insane.
Like Jim Carrey’s Mask character turned up to 11.
I’m pretty sure it’s a test render. Why else is it constantly being called test footage, despite not being anything like what we normally consider to be test footage? My guess is that the real life footage hasn’t been integrated yet, and the CGI is at just high enough quality to get an idea of what it will look like. The final version will look real and will have real footage cut in. Think of it like a fancy storyboard.
The Youtube and stuff was taken away so what does everyone mean by an all CGI movie?
Computer animated like Pixar stuff?
Or fake-but-trying-to-be-real like that godawful Final Fantasy movie?
It was simply a motion capture test so they could make a quick sample for a studio to see. The movie wasn’t going to be CGI. Here it is if you want to see.
Is that project still alive? I figured they pulled the plug after recent Ryan Reynolds box office disasters. And other factors.
Man, I really hope they make a Deadpool movie.
