Who’s that ridin? John The Revelator…
Wrote the Book of the Seven Seals.

Well, season 1 has ended, and, IIRC, there will be a season 2.

Piney had figured Jax wasn’t really on board with Clay’s way of doing business, and now that he’s read John Teller’s opus, he knows why. Jax now has an ally.

Opie worships the ground Jax walks on, and will go along with whatever Jax decides. But if he ever finds out who killed his wife, Jax will have a very willing collaborator. Who knows high explosives. Chibs would probably side with Jax as well.

Tig and Clay are on the other side.

Wild cards: Bobby Elvis, Juice, and Half-Sack.

Sons of Anarchy didn’t have a grab-ya/gotcha moment like Vic Mackey shooting Terry Crowley in The Shield, but damned if they haven’t sunk their hooks into me anyway.

Yeah, it looks like next season we’ll have a split into two factions and I think you’re spot on about who’ll side with Jax, except for maybe Chibs being a wild card right now too. My only question about tonight’s episode is… did Tara decide to stay or go? I swear she annoys me know end, but I honestly don’t think Wendy will ever truly feel the love.

Other observations:

  • In the ‘confrontation’ between Clay and Jemma, I would’ve infinitely been more afraid of the latter than the former. Their hapless leader is definitely floundering.

  • The chick in the cemetary was (I believe) the same as the beggar last week that Jemma gave money to outside the grocery. She must be some (at least temporary) foreshadowing device.

  • I’m glad to see that Jax thought of the obvious plan to scare the shit out of the 17 year old witness versus killing her. Duh guys.

  • There needs to be consideration of Opie’s ire if it’s ever found out what exactly happened about Donna. I’m pretty sure that he’ll only come down on the side of those responsible, but he could be pissed that Jax kept it from him. Just sayin’.

Now, when we’ll next season start and can we convince anyone to get more of the guys shirtless?

I thought that Jax knew immediately last week that Clay had Tig try to kill Opie. It was that obvious.

I loved how as soon as Gemma was ordered to burn the book, another copy turned up in better condition, and with an ally. The ghost of Hamlet’s father is somewhat persistent.

The funeral scene pissed me off to no end. Who the hell just walks by a funeral, throws a flower and then keeps going? I don’t care if you’re a biker or an alien, you gotta have some respect for people’s feelings.

I don’t understand how Piney had access to the book but had never run across it before.

Gotta agree with you there. This was a poor directorial choice.

Piney had been given the book, but was mad at John so never read it? Not being much of a reader, he never got back to it.

John, having been murdered by Claudius and Gertrude in 1993, I mean Clay and Gemma in 1993, probably had it on disk.
