Question: Why do we call him Saddam? Why not Hussein? We didn’t call Hitler Adolf, and we don’t call Castro Fidel. Why do we call Saddam by his first name?

I was under the impression that he was going to be brought to trial in The Hague for crimes against humanity.
Cough I know this isn’t the place, but, for all the bad he’s done, Saddam was never tying to kill your kids. Nor was the Taliban. Al Qaeda, sure, but not the others.
A trap-door spider digs a pit, camoflagues the entryway, then uses it to either hide or attack his prey from there.
I presume “spider hole” is a term used for a disguised pit used for either a refuge or stronghold.
Yahoo! news is referring to it as a “spider hole” as well. I imagine there would be a lot of spiders in such a hole, along with other nasties.

I remember there was at least one thread about why we call him Saddam, and I think one reason was that people didn’t want to confuse him with King Hussein of Jordan, an ally.
They were talking about who gets the reward money and they said a couple hundred or a thousand soldiers were in the group looking for him and doing raids so how will they split that? Was I mistaken when I heard his wife turned him in?
The exam video frightens me. It seems staged and calculated to humiliate Saddam.
Not that I mind. But I think “South Park” would have done it better.
