In a chilling signal to the Allies, the woman who runs Iraq’s chemical warfare programme has been shown on TV at Saddam Hussein’s war cabinet.
Scientist Huda Salih Mahdi Ammash, known as Mrs Anthrax to Western intelligence, was sitting next to Saddam Hussein’s son Qusay. The pictures, broadcast by Iraqi television, send a clear message to the West and increase fears that the Iraqi dictator is on the brink of using his weapons of mass destruction.

Jeez, Saddam is using psychological warfare. How horrible.
Slightly different version:
U.S. officials: Woman seen with Saddam on Iraqi TV is top weapons scientist
WASHINGTON (AP) A woman seen on Iraqi television Thursday meeting with Saddam Hussein is believed to be one of the regime’s top biological weapons scientists, U.S. intelligence officials said.
The video recording of the meeting, which included other Iraqi leaders, was portrayed as current by Iraqi television, but **U.S. officials said it was unclear when it was made. **
Intelligence officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity , said that the woman among the half-dozen men in the video is Huda Salih Mahdi Ammash, believed to have played a key role in rebuilding Baghdad’s biological weapons capability in the mid-1990s. (bolding mine)
Someone is using psychological warfare. Otherwise known as spreading bullshit.
(I’m not referring to Al E Gator .)
And is Iraqi TV still even operating? Who, if anyone, broadcast the tape?
Yes, Iraqi television is back up–they only put it out of commission for a short time before it was back on the air.

BRUSSELS: The head of the world’s biggest journalists’ organization said a US bomb and missile attack on Iraqi television on Wednesday was an attempt at censorship and may have breached the Geneva Conventions, a claim backed by rights group Amnesty International which said the Conventions forbid attacks on non-military targets.

The primary television channel was blacked out for 45 minutes after the overnight strikes but was back Wednesday airing news bulletins and canned footage of dancing children and military parades.
Satellite television and the Youth TV channel of Saddam Hussein’s son Odai were cut following the bombings that targeted the television building and transmitters. But the satellite channel also resumed broadcasts Wednesday.
That was the bomb that was widely rumored to be an e-bomb, but which was probably just a regular bomb.
