Ok if I grow Salvia Divinorum before it becomes illeagle can I still be arrested for growing it when it does become illeagle? Or would they just seize the plants?
IANAL, if the plant becomes illegal and you are found with it, it’ll likely be seized and destroyed. I’m not that you would be punished, but it’s likely. How would you be able to prove when you grew the thing?

If possession is illegal (note spelling) and you possess some, you can be arrested for possession. Also, if the plant is still alive, and you are aware of its presence and/or are caring for it in any way, that means you are growing it; whether you started growing it before or after the law doesn’t matter.

The plant is a fairly common decorative plant anyway.
