Today I’d like to mention the hit-or-miss jalapeño peppers at my local supermarket. A full 3/4 of the time, the jalapeño peppers are as spicy as sweet peppers (?). I’m guessing that this is due to either weird cross pollination or some failed cross breeding to make them genetically more hearty as a plant. Still, every once in a while, the jalapeño that you buy are at full strength… and wow are they awesome! The last two that I bought were such full strength ones.
I had some left over chili-cheese fries where the chili was not that hot. On the reheat, I added the peppers (sliced) and put more cheddar on top before microwaving.
The effect was… note worthy? I don’t know if I have ever had polyps, but if I did, they’re gone now.
