I thought we had to pay in order to have a sig, regardless of whether you were a member or a guest.

You know, there are some little kids in Africa that are going to bed tonight without any signature at all.
So, samclem saw an annoying signature, and reminded him about a rule that was implemented where guests are not supposed to have signatures activated. However, the thread where that rule was created and had the rule entered into the FAQ left us with Ed reactivating signatures for guests for some indeterminate supposedly short term period to allow guests to capture their quotes and such.
Apparently nobody ever went back and re-deactivated the sig files for non-members.
Which leaves us with the situation where the poster samclem moderated was able to do something that was “against the rules”.
For fun and profit, Oakminster decided to add this to his list of bitches about the mods. Which looks like it might have the side effect of bringing the forgotten rule back to the moderators’ attention, and now Ed might go in and turn off sigs again. Because he meant to, but forgot. Hope that works out for you, Oakminster.

Based on my reading of this thread and the linked thread from 2010, I don’t see why it wouldn’t. As near as I can tell, Oakminister has no problem with signatures being a pay perk.
I think this is the ideal thread to see if my signature works. :eek:

You have to click the checkbox to add the signature for every post. It’s not a one time on or off deal and if you preview the post to verify the sig displays, you have to check the box again when you’re at the editing screen.
Damn my signature seems to be gone. I don’t remember if I deleted it or they did. But I’m defaulting to torches and pitchforks. Attica! Attica!
