San Diego Comic Con 2001 Wrap Up!

Well space kiddies, the big one finally wound down this weekend and a lot happened. Anyone got any thoughts, things that they saw that everyone should hear about? I speak only to those that went.
Here is my take:

-He-Man is coming back (this could be a good and bad thing). The limited edition statues being sold were hella cool looking but expensive and I enjoyed seeing those old commercials on that big screen again.

-Kevin Smith is god and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is gonna be great. Both Jay and Silent Bob have bong lightsaber duels with…dramatic pause…Mark Hamill. All sounds and light effects are the same and its fall down funny.

-Whoever the Peg Bundyesqe looking chick was, she about nearly caused several fanboys to drop dead with her getup on Saturday. And yes, she was butt naked under those double stick products over the certain areas.

-The Harry Potter footage was great, The LOTR stuff was unreal, and I found a new anime that I like called the Magic Club. Hilarious!

I got to meet my two new comic idols, John Kovalic (who writes “Dork Tower”) and Scott Kurtz (who writes “PvP”), both of Dork Storm Press. Scott signed my t-shirt and drew me a little Skull! Glee! He rocks, and I was very, very impressed with my first Comic-Con (although I only spent a few hours there). It’s enough to make me get back into comics again…

I’m so jealous. Scott Kurtz was suppose to sign some autographs in Dallas when the PVP comic came out. I never heard if he did and I have since moved away from Dallas. Darn it. Oh, and I’m also jealous that I didn’t get to go to the San Diego Comic Con. I hate you so much. Ok, I don’t really hate you. I always wanted to write comics since I have no talent in drawing. Some day…some day.

Feh. While I was entirely too many miles North packing…

Some guys have all the fun.
