and because this is the usual place to announce Dopefests:
We announce a dopefest tonight, 11/13 6:30 pm in honor of Bobotheoptimist visiting San Jose.
We’ll meet at 6:30 in the lobby of his hotel the DoubleTree by the airport, 2050 Gateway Place. We’re probably going to Japantown for sushi, but we’re not that organized.

Thank goodness I finally got out of the office. I’ll be in the lobby at 6:30, just look for the guy with a shirt and pants. Also, no hat.

Just 4 showed up, but the raw fish was good, the beer was big, and the other 3 brought a personality (each).
Blondebear also brought a loaf of bread on which I’ve been snacking and hope will last me through the flight tomorrow. You rock, man.
My first Dopefest, we haven’t had one in Denver for a while IIRC. I’ll definitely look up Voyager, GaryGnu and blondebear if I make it out again. Maybe I’ll even print up some 3x5 cards with interesting comments on them, since (as I’ve long suspected) very few people are interested in fibre channel or firearms.
