As we head into the holidays there can be only one thing on everybody’s mind, namely their scalp. Bah dum bum…
But seriously folks, SeaDiver has most graciously offered to host a dopefest in the recreation room at her complex. There is a full kitchen, pool table and rumors of a Playstation II floating about as well.
The big problem is deciding which weekend to choose. My pal BigFriendlyGiant won’t be out here until November 18th. Since he’s just dying to meet all of you, my own inclination is to schedule this confab for the weekend of December 2-3.
Let’s start to get some feedback on the precise date that’s best for all. We’ll use December 2nd as the initial default case. Everybody feel free to check in with specific dates that are the best for you. Perhaps we will be able to reach some sort of concensus.
So, all of you slaggards that didn’t make it to the Berkeley dopefest check in here with your ideas. People who have already established a track record for attendance will automatically be awarded a greater degree of credibility. Here is the candidate list, starting with the last dopefest headcount;

So, as to the potluck aspects of this madness, I hereby volunteer to bring several types of salsa. Further encouragement may result in the production of some sort of barbecue. Please sign up and indicate what you might be able to bring as well. Maybe baglady will grace us with a round of SD putz! buttons for the event.
I really hate responding to these. Everytime I want to go I get sent to some backwater to drum up business. BTW, sorry I didn’t make this weekends’ fest Zenster, instead I was enjoying the country music stylings of the various local yokels at the Holiday Inn in Chico, Ca.
So this is what im gonna do, count me in as a vote for the the 2-3 of Dec. I can usually safely assume no trips at the beginning of the month.
I’m open to suggestions on what to bring. How about a list of desireables, so that we can check em off?
Well, I’m taking an SAT test on the 2nd, but that’s only until 12:30.
Another problem is a ride, unless someone wants to come and get me? Or arrange to pick me up at a BART station?
I can be there on Dec 2 or 3, and pepperlandgirl, I believe in one of the other threads SeaDiver said that she’s only a couple of blocks from BART. Of course I could be wrong. It’s happened before.
If a BBQ is happening I can bring some various marinated meat type products. Or drinks, or whatever. Lemme know what works.
Well, Baglady and I missed the Berkeley fest because we had to be in LA.
We’ll have to miss a 12/2 SeaDiver meet because we have to be in LA that weekend as well. The next weekend would be fine, but it looks like the 2nd is good for just about everybody we so we won’t ask that it be changed.

OK… good thing you came up with this early enough. Locking off the weekend of Dec. 2 for ya. I’ll finally make it to one of these. Hmmmm… what’ll I bring? Well, if Zenster is bringing salsa, I’ll bring chips & beer.
Now if we could only get SeaDiver in here to see what she’s gotten herself into. Plus we need to confirm that the December 2nd date is suitable for her as well.

Well, it looks like BigFriendlyGiant will only be in town for the Thanksgiving week and will not be able to make it on the second. Another time perhaps.
Hmm, Looks like I SHOULD be able to make it. I consulted all of my class syllabi, looked at my University’s online academic calendar, and as far as I know, no relatives are planning to visit, and there’s no other family events I know of. I just hope it doesnt rain too hard, since the rainy season is like now ;).
What would I bring? Hmm…perhaps a big thing of pancit? (Filipino noodle dish)
And anyway, Sea is my homegirl. I HAVE to make this one. Especially since it should be pretty much free ;).
Oooh, oooh, Doobieous, please bring some Lumpia. I’ll do some Barbacoa and we will bring these dopers out of their collective culinary stone age. Whaddya say?
