Cameran and I have chosen a Mexican food theme. I’ll be making salsas and taco meats. Please let us know what food you would be able to bring. We also need a volunteer for a designated driver who can pick up people arriving by BART. The station is only one mile away from my friend’s house. I want to thank everyone in advance for replying in this fashion. Since my friend has never met any of you she is taking me at my word that you are all civilized folks (insert hysterical laughter here).

I’m trying to figure out the logistics. Mrs. Batty has school all day that day, so she won’t be able to attend. I’ve got the time, but possibly not the transportation. I’m about an 85 percent probably at the moment.
This is just a public service announcement. If I turn up missing for a few days, you’ll know where to find me–oldscratch is enlisting the help of a friend of mine that lives in SF to kidnap me from Rhode Island. Plans are in the making.

I’d love to come but I’m committed to a neighbor’s suprisse 40th birthday party that evening.
I’m supposed to come dressed like a Jimmy Buffett song. My husband and I toyed with the idea of him going as a cheeseburger and me as paradise, but he didn’t like the idea of wearing buns on his head.
Instead he’s going as Elvis (“Elvis Impersonators”) and I’m going as Carmen Miranda (“They Don’t Dance Like Carmen No More”).
It should be fun, but I know it won’t be nearly as interesting as a DopeFest.
I’ll bring the deluxe extended dance mix version of “Who Let The Dogs Out!” along with a copy of “The Macarena” so the party will have plenty of happening tunes.
I need to know the hours of this lil shindig before I can commit. There is an open house in the city from noon to 3 that day that I really want to attend. If arriving after 3 isn’t too outre, I will definitely be there.
And for food, I can bring my specialty: Tortilla chips, Salsa and a Six-Pack. Nothing but the best for my friends.
Hi Jack! (Never shout that in an airport.) Just to let you know that after three is fine. Save your pennies for the beer fund as there will be plenty of food on hand already. (Plus you’ll travel lighter too.)
I went out to Pleasanton to visit Camster at her house and I’ve got to say it’s a really nice place to have a party. She and I have decided to wait until we have at least ten solid replies on this before going forward. The good news is that we are almost there already.
One slight change: The party’s starting time is now 2:00 PM
Please bring homemade salsas with you as we are going to have a salsa tasting and there will be a prize for the winner. Neither Cam or I could come up with a better reason to swill massive quantites of beer. There will be a taco and burrito bar set up for general noshing as well. Please try to bring foods in a Mexican theme, but it is not mandatory.
We still need a designated driver to shuttle people to and from the BART station. Your gasoline will be paid for. The party location is quite easy to find and is only one mile from the freeway and BART.
