apparently I don’t check in here at Mpsims enough. I’ve missed every single dopefest since I joined, mostly because I find out about them to late. anyhow, I live in Alameda and I’m willing to carpool with anyone who wants to. I have a truck at my disposal, so two people is all I can really take. otherwise, I think I might just take BART and bike. And if your really lucky, I’ll bring some homebrew.

Something that would be especially nice is if someone had a laptop with a wireless or onboard modem so we could run the party thread downstairs instead of up in the computer room.

In preparation for the party, I will diligently practice the one song – R.E.M.'s “Driver 8” – that I can sort of make it all the way through on my guitar.
Okay, I have managed to get the day off. I hadn’t thought about it, but it seems to me that it would also be good to get the next day off as well. I doubt this will happen, as it would require a minor miracle.
However, I will be there on Saturday! I play the flute, but I can’t imagine why anyone would want me to bring it with me.
Details: I will be bussing into the City, and BARTing to Pleasanton. Can those of us making that trek meet up somewhere so as to make that journey together? We could do brunch somewhere, too, before heading under the bay, that would be fun, anyone up for that?

And so the festivities creep ever closer. I’ve been practicing “Driver 8” every night this week. I’ve been trying to add a Husker Du song, too, but that may be asking too much of myself.
I don’t think you need to worry about it being great Snooooopy, if you wait long enough to start playing, most everyone will be drunk, and therefore easy to convince that you played it right. But I think you knew that, 'cause aren’t you the one who signed up to bring the tequila?
