I was figuring on bringing a bottle of tequila and a bottle of mixer, not a full bar. Someone’s got to jump on the ol’ hooch wagon with me.
Sounds like there is a party going on…at my house! I am looking forward to meeting all of you… but hadn’t planned on personally feeding the whole group.

I’ve just had a long discussion with CAMSTER about the party tomorrow. Sadly, less than half of the people responding to the invitations have bothered to specify what they are bringing.
Neither Cameran or I wish to buy supplies if people are already bringing them, but likewise we do not want the table to be bare when the guests arrive.
If you have not contacted me about your contribution, please do so right away. Items from the above menu would be most appreciated. I’m hoping that everyone involved brings a six pack of beer. There is going to be a monster taco and burrito bar.
If you show up empty handed, be prepared to contribute to the slush fund. Once Cameran and I have recouped sufficiently, the rest of the fund will be put into a beer run.
I feel that we are going to have a really good time tomorrow. The food is going to be terrific, I know so because I’m cooking it right now!

I believe I have some plastic utensils from my last bash I can bring along. And I dug up my backgammon set which seems to have all of its parts.
Thanks for checking in SeaDiver! Nix on the tortillas (I’m getting fresh ones tomorrow), but way to go with the beer, good Mexican beer is preferred. Modelo lager would be super, or a 12’er of whatever is cheapest, it’s up to you.

I will bring a chess board, if anybody wants to have at me. I have to warn you – I was first board on my chess team in middle school. My fianchetto is like a sharp sword, controlling the diagonal!

It is now T minus 5 hours (or so) to party time. I can’t wait.
But I wonder why I do things like this to myself. Before I head over to the east bay, I’m going to an open house from 12 to 3. So I’ll have to return from that, walk my dog, grab my guitar and hit the BART. Amongst all that, I have to get a cartridge for our printer or Mrs. Batty will kill me.
But the real kicker is that we attended a surprise birthday party last night, and I’m still hung over. And when I actually get to the Dopefest, oldscratch is going to try to pour vodka down my throat with a funnel just to see me puke.
I’m getting too old for this abuse.

Can we have photo id’s like back stage at a rock concert? Or at least Hello sticker tags like at a convention? I’m terrible with names, and at a Dopefest, there’s real names to deal with as well :eek:
