Sandy Relief Concert

Keith’s cameo is part of the Quad video backdrop they’re using on the the tour.

I’m sure it was easiest to pluck a set piece from their current tour, which is Quadrophenia.

I may have to go catch this in Providence. I had Brooklyn tickets but didn’t make it.

So far all of the old folks, and Bon Jovi, have rocked. The modern artist, Alecia Keys, sucked ass.

It’s up to Kanye and Near-vana now!

Nice extended Who set… and seems they’re going for Love Reign O’er Me to finish…

Jesus. The soundtrack of me at 16.

O.K., Roger must had had work done on his pecs.

I do not like being this turned on by men that old. But lawd, Mr. Roger and his pushup regimen are giving me the vapors.

You have to understand: “Bellboy,” the song they performed, was Keith Moon’s theme for Quadraphrenia. The second I realized what it was, I knew it was a tribute to Keith.

So what Kanye West song are we gonna get? I’d love to hear Runaway…

Pete gets off the first F bomb! HA!

You know, I like Kanye, but this sucks. He sounds way better mixed in studio.

Oh sweet. Runaway. What will they do with the curses?

Kanye’s making the Graybeards sound good.

Fuck this, have to go to bed.

Drunk Uncle is not funny.

“Goldigger” is one of my recent favorites. Totally butchered live and on tv.

Not at all, they’d have done better going w/ ‘Girl at a Party You Wish You Hadn’t Started Talking To’ - but that might have been too many women in one show, as they’d already had Alicia Keys and…no other women but backup singers.
Roger Daltrey, keep one button done on that shirt and it’s perfect; no need to show the world much more than your pecs. Let us imagine the rest.
Sound was hit and miss. To be expected w/ so many different performers.

Is Kanye West wearing a leather mini-skirt?

I’m watching the west coast version on my DVR right now, and they’ve decided to deal with the swearing by playing the audio backwards on the offending lyrics, leading me to wonder if my TV has temporarily been taken over by the powers of Satan.

Unfortunately, the concert apparently ran long and my DVR’s recording cut off at the end of Billy Joel’s set. Anyone know if there’s a place online where I can see Sir Paul’s set?
