Thanks for the update, SRMom; may you have lots more good news and as little bad ones as possible.
I’m so glad to hear this SRMom. Don’t forget to take care of yourself too.
Absolutely seconded!
I, too, was just wondering about Santo the other day, and hoping there would be more good news soon. And look, here it is!
Thank you for the encouragement! I’m glad that your mom did so well. I have seen several different patients at Craig with similar injuries progress just in the short time we’ve been there. As I’ve said, some days are tougher than others but we are staying strong.
Santo is scheduled to have a shunt inserted on Thursday. The doctors think that this will help his response time immensely. We are very hopeful, but of course surgery is a frightening prospect.
Keep him in your prayers!
best thoughts going out his way
He has all mouse house’s prayers.
I will light candles and send healing thoughts for SantoRugger and for you and your family.
We’re all pulling for him.
It’s so good to get updates on Pat’s progress. Go Pat Go!
Pat had surgery to insert a shunt to help relieve pressure on his brain on Thursday. He did fine during surgery and came out of anethesia just great. Today he has a slight fever and possibly pneumonia. They moved him to the nuero ICU at the hospital next door. Mostly to keep a good eye on him over the weekend. We are looking forward to his recovery and can’t wait to see a difference in his response level.
Thanks again to all of you for your support and prayers.
i hope it works, and he has a good peaceful healing weekend.
Again, all the good vibes I can muster are headed towards all of you! Close your eyes for a minute. . .can you feel them yet?
Crossing fingers here!
I hope he comes out of this small fever okay.
Our older son was in a bad wreck on Tuesday night, and I’ve thought of you often this week SRMom. Your good example has helped keep me going, thank you.
Pat is in ICU due to slight pneumonia and infection. He’s back on the vent, but able to breathe on his own during trials. He has some swelling in his airway, though, and this is preventing them from pulling the tube.
Keep all of us in your prayers - this has been quite a week!
Ouch
Not what Pat and you all need right now. Tell him from us, he needs to cut out the excitement and get back to the boring hard work of rehab!!
No! That’s horrible. At least he is still capable of breathing on his own. You have literally hundreds of people who are pulling for him to recover. Hopefully our energy does him some good.
I’m pulling for ya Pat. I know I haven’t posted much in this thread, but I’ve been reading intently. Best of luck bud. You’ve been doing so well - just keep it up!
Thanks, SRM. Thanks for keeping us updated.
Thinking of you, Pat and SantoRuggersMom. Sending blessings and good thoughts your way.
