Sarah Palin Insults Politicians from China to India.

I agree with this, but believe that’s only part of the story. People like to speak of her charisma, how well she connects to ordinary people, how she has ignited the base, etc. Bill Clinton has been quoted on these boards saying she’s a “natural politician.”

So let’s assume she does have some special inner glow that makes her the “It Girl” of a certain wing of the Republican Party. That “it” quality just as easily works against her, too. She does have some weird ability to attract worship and derision both. It’s two sides of the same coin.

Hey let’s all pretend to be morons so we can laugh at something Sarah Palin said in our imaginations!

Holy shit, the OP is stupid.

I am absolutely convinced that Palin will be the 2012 nominee. The base absolutely adores her and you win nominations by playing to the base.

I had the same thought seeing this thread. Thought I had woken up in a time warp and it was 2008 again. Sarah Palin matters why?QUOTE]

Well… let’s not forget the title of this message board. It’s not about things that matter.

Not according to Harry Reid.

…have you ever watched the Daily Show?

Damn…

I saw this thread on the font page and it simply read Sarah Palin Insults.

I thought I was going to be seeing some new ones, but noooooo.

The link and cite provided hardly came from my imagination.

Cartooniverse

I’m not sure she left out a word or had a slip of the tongue. I think she might be trying to coin a term, the Far East Coast, tarring the East Coast and its presumed liberals with all the scary UnAmerican foreignness that such a term implies.

But for Alaskans, New York etc are the Far East by simple dint of geography. China, Russia, and Japan are all just as close if not closer, and they’re all to the West, whereas New York et al are to the East.

So what is worse? Inarticulate public speech or race baiting?

:dubious:

Which is closer to Anchorage: Tokyo or New York City?

What makes you think it is a pretense?

Regards,
Shodan

See post #5. There’s not that much in it. NYC is only 100 miles closer

Sapporo’s 350 miles closer to Anchorage than New York, and 1000 miles closer than Miami.

Both New York and Miami qualify as far East to someone in Alaska.
