Sarah Palin: Obama "pussyfooting"

Underlining mine. This is the essence of the SEALs. As someone else said in another thread, the SEALs are like all the Chuck Norris jokes – only they’re true.

Chuck Norris plays badass characters.
SEALs really are badasses.
Sarah Palin has a bad ass.

Ah, Palin the Cunt strikes again. News flash, America, SHE IS FUCKING DUMB!

As usual, Palin makes up words or uses ones she is unfamiliar with. Sending Navy SEALs in helicopters to assassinate the number one enemy of the world is not pussyfooting, you bitch.

Ehh, well, she’s not the only one. Many conservative blogs I’ve seen have been saying the same.

ETA: I believe that the point that “they’re calling him cowardly even though he sent the order” is why that one conspiracy theory about someone “overriding” Obama on this is so popular in some circles. Or else it’s reconciled by saying it was “easy” to do, and that the SEALs did all the actual hard work. So that objection IS addressed, in a sense.

Nope. Just asked for a cite. You’re a douchebag. A douchebag who attacked someone who you knew was on your side, but just didn’t get your joke.

ETA: A douchebag who’s unaware of Poe’s Law, apparently.

n/m you’re too stupid to fight with.

Now you’re being stupid, in addition to your previous douchebaggery. Good for you!

All this would have just ended if you’d posted “dude, that was a joke” instead of calling me names. What a fucking retarded asshole you are.

As I said in another thread, my husband HATES Obama and just about everything Obama stands for and all his policies. And he’s walking around with a big grin on his face because of this, and he enjoyed the captioned pics that I sent him from that other thread.

I find it admirable that Obama was able to keep this mission quiet until it was completed, because sometimes that’s a matter of life and death for those involved. Fact is, I was impressed by the whole thing.

“I don’t know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don’t care. It’s not that important. It’s not our priority.”

  • G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

Please cite some debunking of this quote. It’s very widely attributed to him.

“I am truly not that concerned about him.”

  • G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden’s whereabouts,
    3/13/02 (The New American, 4/8/02)

[Here’s a link to the White House transcript of the briefing on the above quote:http://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/releases/2002/03/20020313-8.html]

“Who knows if he’s hiding in some cave or not. We haven’t heard from him in a long time. The idea of focusing on one person really indicates to me people don’t understand the scope of the mission. Terror is bigger than one person. He’s just a person who’s been marginalized. … I don’t know where he is. I really just don’t spend that much time on him, to be honest with you.”

Watch the video in the link. He makes clear, and nearly says, that he does not care about bin Laden.

Here’s Fred Barnes attesting to Bush saying that bin Laden was not a top priority:

So, how do you know it’s false? It’s certainly quite consistent with a number of sourced statements by Bush regarding bin Laden.

Suppose you really did have a retarded asshole. Could that be fixed with surgery, and is it worse than a spastic colon? If you had a retarded asshole and irritable bowel syndrome, which poster would you most resemble?

Tru dat.

I got sumthin more than you, tho.

It doesn’t matter if the photos get released or not, at least as far as convincing anyone that he is dead. After being shot in the head, how much do you think the pics will look like him? Those who don’t want to believe it will not be convinced, and the argument will then be about whether or not the photos were doctored.
Releasing them could have terrible ramifications for us in the Arab world. Obama is right not to do it. But I’m sure they’ll be leaked eventually.

‘Pussy foot’, is that the same as ‘camel toe’?

I’m sure she would like to be taken out by a SEAL and pinned. Eww.

It doesn’t appear to be a deliberate misquote, but it isn’t an exact quote. I think the exact quote is more revealing of Bush’s abilities and intentions. It shows him to be a man who doesn’t pay close attention who thinks that details are beneath him. I note that Jimmy Carter never said the country was in a malaise and Al Gore never claimed to have invented the internet. This is what I’m talking when I complain that the press and certain posters excuse fair comments about the claims of conservatives and yet don’t go around correcting grosser misstatements when liberals are deliberately misquoted to make them look foolish.

It would be nice if the supposedly impartial press and supposedly even-handed posters put as much effort into correcting misstatements about both sides.

No doubt the Man in the Arena deserves the lion’s share of the credit, but Obama had some tough choices to make above and beyond the operational concerns. If bin Laden had been found in the UK the decisions over how to proceed would have been no brainers, but bin Laden was smack in the middle of a sometimes trustworthy, sometimes less-than-trustworthy ostensible ally, in a heavily populated area, with military installations close by. He could have made the decison to alert Pakisani officials to the raid and risked someone in the command structure leaking the info, or trusted Pakistan to conduct the raid themselves and risked someone in the command structure leaking the info, or order the raid without alerting anyone and risk civilian casualites/getting shot down by the Pakistani military/getting captured or shot by the Pakistani military, etc. There were dozens of ways this could have gone wrong and only a few that it could go right, and had it gone wrong it would have been Obama’s Iran rescue fiasco and bay of Pigs all wrapped in one.

More on the raid from CIA Director Panetta:

CIA Chief: Pakistan Would Have Jeopardized bin Laden Raid

It would have been awesome if Obama had told his staff, “Sometimes, you gotta roll the hard six.”

Let’s face it, this woman could not beat Katie Couric in an interview. She found undergraduate challenging. And, but for the American people she would now be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

Maybe she’s angry because she thinks Obama sent in some baby harp seals and she couldn’t join the club(bing) ?

A recent thread in GQ taught me that Sarah Palin’s name can be misread as “Sinus Pain”.
