Do you really think she’s not too smart? She did manage to get elected to both local and state wide office in Alaska. I’m betting she’s smarter and better suited to the ‘world of power’ than a large percentage of the population.

FTR, I don’t think she’s any more attractive than Condoleezza Rice, and I’ve never heard this kind of question about Rice. If the question is whether or not foreign leaders will take Palin seriously, the real one should be, how can they take Rice seriously, given that they meet with her all the time and the VP only rarely?

They take Rice seriously because she is a serious person. Her attractiveness is a non-issue because it’s a non-issue to her. She’s not relying on it, because she has something beyond it to offer.

Your point has nothing to do with Palin’s looks; you’re saying she won’t be taken seriously because she’s dumb. If we extended your argument further, the inference is that it’s fine for dumb politicians to be ugly, but we can’t have attractive dumb politicians.

Are we talking about this Sarah Palin, or someone else? Who apparently described herself as “pitbull with lipstick”? Did you drink/smoke something powerful, or do you have a very unusual taste? I don’t see her sexy at all, rather the opposite.
Condoleeza Rice traveled around the world a bit for the current Admin., and she would like rather hot if not for her terrible ethics/morals/ political associations and the apparently permantly disgruntled expression on her face.
In general, the rest of the world would thank the US to elect a different Admin than the current one, meaning: an Admin that listens and talks to the rest of the world, stops treating the rest of the world as backyard (exploiting, second-class humans), works together with civilized countries on human rights and enviroment, and stops with all the aggression.
In other words, if McCain gets elected, people will bitch about his politics and not fawn about his VP; if Obama gets elected, people will give him credit for hopeful changing, and not give a damn on how his VP looks. (Though Obama himself certainly looks much better and hotter than either the crusty old coot McCain or that gargoyle Palin.)
