I agree w/GKW,White Lightning and Ruby that waxed paper is the way to go for wrapping sandwiches. It’s just breathable enough that my sandwiches don’t get soggy and the lettuce doesn’t wilt.
Plastic just holds in too much moisture, IMO.

In order of availability I would have put chicken livers in clear tupperware, then sealed sandwhich bags or saran wrap so that the juices didnt leak.
I went to a friend’s restaurant last night, and the toilet seat was covered in plastic wrap. You pushed a little button on the side, and this socklike plastic wrap thing would rotate along… giving you a fresh plastic-covered seat to sit on.
We’re on the edge of our seats here, Cartooniverse. Did you go with Black or Green?
Barbarian, I’ve seen those in airports. Sure does make you cautious, eh???
I went with the waxed paper out of sheer Germanic Stubbornness, but coverd the bases by taking clear Giant Eagle brand saran wrap/ Glad Wrap/ plastic film and wrapping it carefully.
24 hours later, I took it, unwrapped it, and peeled back the waxed paper. Ahhhh, poifection. Still moist. I rested the mold in hot water, popped it out, and arranged sliced black and green olives on the mold. It went like hotcakes, there was a tiny scrap left from 3 lbs of livers and 3 lbs of onions hand-ground together to make the chopped liver.
A wild success. An insane success. All of Squirrel Hill was agog. Adults shoved small kids out of the way to get to it. My thanks to those who put some time into their answers.
I have used the colored Saran Wraps before, they’re lovely and frivilous and lighthearted. This wasn’t one of those times. This is Chopped Liver.
Jihad’s have been launched over this stuff.
