SAT & ACT- how did you score?

ooops, I think I actually got a 164, not a 165 on the LSAT, neither one it particularly remarkable around here I am sure.

ShibbOleth I think you are right, I seem to remember my PSAT score being a 212 or 214.

sob Thank you! Someone else!!! I took that damn test four times, and it got lower every time! The only score I will admit to is a 920. sob

Duh. ^ My stellar coding abilities. Hmmmm.

ACT: 34, first and only time. Could have, should have, gotten at least a 35, but I forgot some easy geometry stuff.

I was so excited to get the results that I called my mom at work:
“Mom! I got a 34 on the ACT!”
silence
“Oh, maybe you’ll do better next time”

Turns out she thought that the ACT was graded out of 100.

Hey, my freshman year my RA admitted in a moment of drunken stupidity that he had gotten a 780 on the SAT. “Which part?” we asked. “That was my total.” he respondend. “Ooohhh” we said. This was at a top 20 school, so it just shows that you can get in to good schools even if you have a less than great SAT score.

SAT: 1210, with an equitable 610 verbal, 600 math split. I took it just before the readjustment, IIRC.

GRE: 1380, again an equitable 660 verbal, 720 math split, with a 5.5/6.0 on the new written section. Then I decided not to go on for a Ph.D. :frowning:

They’re out of 160. The work on the same scale as SAT’s, but without the extra 0 on the end. So a 135 on the PSATs is roughly equivalent to a 1350.

Weird… they must have changed a lot in the past 13 years or so- back when I was applying to A&M and UT,no Texas schools I’m aware of gave a shit about ACT scores- SAT and class rank were the entire ball game.

I take that back, sort-of. There’s 3 sections on the PSAT, so it’s out of 240. But if you add the verbal and math scores and add a 0 it’s the same scale as the SATs. I’m not sure if there was always a 3rd section, or if it just isn’t paid attention to very much.

SAT 1520
ACT 31(with food poisoning no less) It was the night after my sister’s birthday party and my dad, sister-in-law, and I all came home with food poisoning. Thanks sis! But my scores were still good enough for a free ride through college. This would have been in 1998 I guess. Junior year of high school.

SAT: 1530
790 verbal, 740 math, unless my memory is playing tricks on me.

I was in a magnet program, so my school produced several 1600’s every year.

Took the ACT once, got a 31.

Dang, I feel like really stupid now…I got 26, 27, and 28 on my ACT (never got tht 30 I wanted…I think I my try agian since I got a year of college chemistry and math under my belt). I graduated with a 3.98…does that redeem my intellegence in any way?

Took the ACT once, with serious jet lag. 32.

Maybe I should have retaken it…

Oh well, good enough to allow me to drop out of UT.

710 Verbal
790 Math

29 Composite

26 on the ACT. I had one shot to take it and I’d closed at McDonald’s the night before.

ACT: I think it was a 32, but I do remember the “comparable” SAT score was a 1360 . . . This was in 1989.

LSAT: 163

Didn’t take the SAT, even though that test was more common among the applicants to the University of California system. I didn’t do as well as I hoped in the PSAT, so I avoided the SAT, altogether.

SAT: 1530 (from 1997). Act: 33 or 34, don’t remember. LSAT: 175. Penis length: 12 inches. Oops, sorry about that last one – wrong thread.

SAT: 1440 (720/720), 1520 (800 Math, 720 Verbal)
But I was more proud of my PSAT score, 230 (79 Writing, 77 Math, 74 Verbal). Highest in the school.

ACT: 31 (35 Math, 35 English, 29 Reading, 26 Science)

[sub]Damn you, science.[/sub]

Oh yeah, these scores are all 2001-2002.

And if anyone’s interested, when I took the PSAT in ninth and tenth grades I got a 200 and 212, respectively, and when I took the SAT in seventh I got an 1110.
