1260 on the SAT here in 11th grade…Took them in 7th grade and got 1000:D
I scored:
SAT: 1340
ACT: 33 (including one 36!)
I only took each once (unless you count my 7th grade SAT), and I was peeved at my SAT score. 700 on my math…but I scored 770 on my Math IIC SATII. At least I didn’t biff it up on that one too.

That will be all…carry on.**
ACT was 28 - 31
Never took the SAT
1970 (showing my age…)
Any particular reason why, or is this just part of the Quantitative section of the test?
Never took the ACT.
I took the SAT back in 1984. I got a 1300. I think the split was 630 verbal and 670 math IIRC. I only took the test once. I didn’t study or do any SAT prep–back then I was told by my guidance counselors that it wouldn’t make a difference in my scores.
1300 seems low compared to the scores mentioned here, but I remember my percentile rankings seemed pretty high at the time–though I can’t for the life of me remember what they were. I do remember that my percentile rankings for verbal and math were exactly equal, but that my combined score percentile ranking was much higher than those for the individual sections.
I took the GMAT back in 1990. I think I got a 680 but I could be wrong.
24 ACT in 2002, haven’t taken SAT.

PSAT? who cares at this point? I recall all my percentages were in the 90s, with most of them being in the 99th percentile.
Did very well on the GREs last year as well, but I can’t recall my scores just now.
I took the SAT twice in middle school as part of some gifted program thing. I scored 1000 in the 7th grade and 1200 in the 8th. When I took it “for real” in high school (late sophomore year? early junior year?) I pulled a 1470. My mother had wanted me to take it early for practice, but I figured my score was good enough that I didn’t need to bother doing it again.
I don’t remember my scores in the seperate sections, but my verbal was always higher. It also stayed about the same every time I took the test. The increase in my total score over the years was almost entirely due to improving my math score, which I suppose is unsurprising considering that I hadn’t even had algebra until my freshman year in high school.
Incidentally, I was in college (a respectable private school at that) with some students who’d scored 1000…or less…on the SAT, which just goes to show that it’s not all that important when it comes to getting into college.
I pulled a 33 on the ACT the first and only time I took it (late junior year or early senior year), and managed a perfect score on the reading section. Which brings me to this:
My mother’s master’s thesis dealt with the gap between reading class performance in school and actual reading ability. She discovered that elementary school children who made the best grades in reading class often read little outside of school and had no better than average reading ability, while students who were advanced readers and read recreationally often did poorly in reading class. Go fig.
