The satellite feed from Tacoma to TV stations included pictures from a helicopter. How do they hit the satellite from the helicopter? That is usually a Ku dish that has to be pointed fairly accurately.

Maybe there is a relay - the 'copter sends a signal back to the station then the station sends it up to the satellite?

At least that’s the way I saw it done a few years ago.
So the helicopter has a marconi or whip antenna link to the truck that sends to the sat.
