Iceland volcano webcam
Totally off topic and MPSIMSy, but worth mentioning – National Geographic a while ago posted what I think is one of my favorite pictures of all time: Your POV is just back from the edge of a somewhat-verdant cliff top, looking dowin into a valley below through which hikers are, well, hiking, with a similar somewhat-verdant cliff on the other side of the valley. Sounds like just a nice people-in-nature photo, right? Well, that’s true, but:[ul]
[li]It’s taken in Iceland.[/li][li]You’re standing, literally, on the edge of the North American Plate.[/li][li]The hikers are walking up the Mid-Atlantic Rift.[/li][li]The opposite cliff? The Eurasian Plate.[/li][/ul]

Polycarp, you aroused my curiosity, so… here, Thingvellir National Park.
That’s the one! I misremembered it as being grassy on the cliffs.
Wow, those really were cool/ beautiful/ scary. Thanks for sharing that link.
Good old NASA. I knew I could count on them.
Thanks.
Anybody read Icelandic?
I’m amazed of the good effort that Google Chrome translation does:
If you have Google Chrome, the translator option appears and you can press the button to translate, I was surprised that it detected “Icelandic”. It is clear however that “tracks” should be left as Hvolsvelli.
