Anyone, else following the case?
It’s looking more and more like kidnapping.
The ransom note mailed to TMZ included private details an scummy, opportunist wouldn’t know.
I’ve been following it a little bit.
Definitely feels like someone who had inside knowledge about the home and family circumstances.
Bizarre and heart breaking for the family.
The Foothills is the northern part of Tucson - in the Catalina Mountains foothills. To the north of the area is the Coronado National Forest, where there are few trails and it is mostly rock until you go up around 6000 feet (Tucson is at about 2300 feet). It’s mostly a well-to-do area, though there pockets that are middle-class and if you bought your house back in the 70s you might be middle class, too.
One thing that doesn’t help is that due to light control laws, Tucson is fairly dark.
No offense, dude, and this is a thread you started, but in a thread about a woman’s kidnapping, these sort of random speculations are completely irrelevant, even if you find them somehow interesting.
It’s not random thoughts.
Ransom notes have been reported and they contained private information.
The ability to raise cash quickly is extremely relevant to the case. A family’s largest asset is their house.
The ability to quickly, pay this scum off could save Nancy’s life.
I asked about a gated community because of potentially having private security. The neighborhood streets and intersections would have xamera and maybe a license plate reader at the main gate.
What does that possibly have to do with what I quoted? Who cares if she “bought the house decades ago at a reasonable price?” It has zero relevance to the tragedy unfolding right now.
You get very, very excited about this kind of celebrity crime case – I’ve seen you do this numerous times here – and you love to speculate.
Not if it’s a valuable home that could be quickly used as collateral for a loan to aid in getting Nancy released
I have no idea. The news flashed, maybe 15 seconds to 25 seconds of video showing the house. I simply inquired of a local that might know if that’s considered an exclusive area in the town.
Let’s drop it and move on. There may be fresh news Friday.
The news reported the ransom note included multiple deadlines for undisclosed events to happen.
TMZ did a 3 min update early Thursday afternoon. They’re working closely with authorities and are holding back some details contained in the ransom note. TMZ and Harvey Levin stressed that protecting the investigation is their current priority.
My assumption is that this is some stochastic terrorism that can be directly linked to certain politicians and their party labelling the media “the enemy of the people” for the past too many years.
Having said that, I have seen that Trump has pledged Federal assistance on this case so I guess Savannah Guthrie is one of the few female reporters he doesn’t outright hate. But I am still surprised that he would react with anything other than “that’s what you get for being fake news!”
No, it’s not gated that I am aware of. The Foothills is an area rather than a community and while there are gated areas - Rancho sin Vacas, for example - most is not. The Foothills area must be 10 or 15 miles long.
