Savannah Guthrie (Today Show, co-anchor) mother missing

It’s more than lookie-loo’s. Bloggers and influencers are a problem today.

ABC Nightly News reported the FBI is starting to pull agents from the area and they’ll work from their regular offices.

This is a new version of something that has gone on for decades. Long time family friends of mine live in Brentwood around the corner from the OJ murder house. They didn’t get any peace for years. Why would anyone want a selfie in front of a fence that totally obscures a house where a double murder took place?

When is it time to move forward and return to daily life?

Only Savannah can make that decision.

If all my years of watching true crime is any indication, if your guess is correct, it will be a handyman.

If we’re just throwing theories out there, my money is on the masked men responsible for 99% of abductions in the country: ICE agents. Just because a goon has a government job, doesn’t mean they can’t moonlight as a criminal thug. They probably wouldn’t have any difficulty crossing the Mexican border.

So her former handyman, who now works for ICE. Solved!

Wouldn’t a handyman be overqualified?

ETA:

Oops, this is probably a hijack.

Or his evil twin!

Wouldn’t the one that works for ICE be the evil twin?

I think the time for me is now.

Moderating:

This is a tangential political jab in a breaking news thread. If you want to speculate, especially politically, i invite you to start a new thread. There may not be a lot more breaking news, so a discussion thread for those who want to discuss the situation is likely a good bet.

But please respect the breaking news tag here.

I think Savannah will return to her job on the Today show fairly soon. Her family is in New York and the children need their mom.

The current investigation is winding down. The FBI is pulling agents back to the Phoenix field office.

Something will break eventually. There’s no way of knowing when.

It’s always frustrating when cases like this run out of leads and go cold. I realize the investigation and lab tests will quietly continue. There’s always a possibility they’ll find a new lead.

Perhaps. Or perhaps not, given how long this has gone on with no end point in sight. I fear the next item of breaking news will be that someone has stumbled over a shallow grave in the desert, weeks, or months, or even years from now. In the meantime, this is headed toward the cold case file.

Or, if not that, a lone, soft-spoken man, covered in blood, walks into a police station and, after failing to get anyone’s attention initially, shouts “Detective!”

…since this is the Cafe Society.
