I’ve observed in other missing person cases authorities usually emphasize any fragile health or needs for medications.
Maybe Nancy is at Alice’s Restaurant?
Nancy uses a cane. Very pronounced brusing. My mom(in her 80’s) had the same fragile skin.

That won’t work anymore now that we have AI. I heard someone discussing this on CNN. Kidnappers can easily create a fake newspaper or a deep fake video. He said every family should have a special code word that any of them could use in case of trouble. For instance, in the scam where a “grandson” calls gramma and says he needs money in the form of gift cards for some weird reason. It’s sad that that’s something you have to think about these days.
That was the case here as well:
A lot of people have no idea what VPN means, so the journalists would have to spell it out and then define it anyway. Surely this wasn’t hard for you to disambiguate:
Not for certain, AFAIK, but …
Some of the indications for a pacemaker require that the patient be on anticoagulation therapy (to prevent clots). Without this, the risks can be very serious.
Example:
During one Town Hall interview with Trump, when he admitted he’d tweeted a fake tweet or some such, she called him out on why he would knowingly do it. Otherwise, she’s reportedly been exceedingly nonpartisan. But the Right lost their shit over it.
I guess that’s true. I think a short video could be a lot more persuasive than any number of details about how she was taken, though.
And whoever uses one of the commercial AIs = websites to create the vid will of course have left logs all over that AI system. Which, just like search engine queries and results, can all be readily obtained by law enforcement.
At present, it is impractical to have a video-generating AI that lives solely on your own home computer and so can be comprehensively destroyed when you’re done with it.
The Guardian put together a good summary of the case.
It’s helpful for person who just now is beginning to follow the case, and doesn’t want to read multiple news sources.

It is a little bit reassuring that the people who did this seemed to have planned well and are organized. Maybe they had a place prepared to feed Nancy and keep her alive? They knew from the beginning they were kidnapping an elderly woman.
Why leave her medication behind?
I don’t see any new information.
The article summarizes what’s already been reported.
People steal cars to commit crimes all the time. They can do the same with computers, devices, IPs, and WiFi.
Looks like Trump gave the kidnapper(s) a heads up that the police are closing in:
There is a reason why the police don’t go on TV and announce that they are about to kick down someone’s door!
He just has to inject himself into any situation that’s getting media attention, doesn’t he? I’ll bet if, God willing, she is rescued, he’ll try to take credit for it.
Yeah, but I don’t put much stock in what he says. He’s prone to hyperbole.
The NBC affiliate - KVOA - is reporting that a search warrant has been issued for Annie Guthrie’s and her husband’s house.
I read the Wiki for Pima Co. Sherriff. It said they have 516 “sworn officers. Would they really have 100 detectives or more? That seems like a lot, but there are a million folks in that county, so…
That doesn’t sound good.
I watched KVOA report from their website. They had no confirmation of search warrants being issued.
There was something happening at the house. It may just be their regular investigations. Of course family would consent without warrants.
If they had to get warrants, it’s indeed disturbing.
Hmmmmm.
I don’t like this turn of events and what it might mean.
Nancy had dinner at Annie’s house the night before she went missing. I hope Annie and her husband are only witnesses in this investigation.
The next few days could be interesting.
Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have released a new video reponding to sn apparent message from the kidnappers
