Save my sanity - pull a vague cartoon character out of my mind

This is really driving me nuts. I don’t think he has a name. I’m pretty sure he’s from an older cartoon - not quite black and white old but definitely before the 80’s, possibly a lot before.

He is a white human.

He has an oval face.

He has a huge nose, but not stickie-outie big - more like long big.

His eyes are small and really close-set.

I think he’s bald.

I think he wears a hat - maybe a bowler but I might be wrong on this.

I think he wears a dark colored suit.

I have no clue what cartoon he has been in.

Definitely not Wimpy or Ollie. The face is longer and not as fat, I am not picturing any multiple chins. The nose is much longer and I don’t remember any cheekbones at all. The eyes are closer together as well.

The only toon I’ve seen that even comes close to what’s in my head is the pilgrim from Jerky Turkey (don’t eat at Joes!!)
But, its not him.

What era is he from?

If it’s the 90s, the DCAU version of Mxyzptlk fits the bill.

My suspicion is sometime from the 40’s to the mid 60’s. I have a feeling he’s a Tex Avery character because of how much the pilgrim makes resonates.
I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve bee non spring break for 7 hours. I have spent about 3 of those hours trying to find this damn cartoon character. This is what happens when I force myself to not think about the respiratory system for one night. :smack:

Nope. Face is longer, as is the nose. I like Ziggy though. I have Ziggy/Fuzz salt and pepper shakers.

Wouldn’t be Mr. Magoo, would it? I know he doesn’t have a ‘long’ face, but in every other way fits the description.

Nope. Not Egghead or Magoo.

I might be wrong but there’s a very real possibility that he is just a totally random character without a name or his own cartoon.

Perhaps it would then be better to describe what peculiar actions or situations you remember that character doing or suffering.

No but the nose and eyes are very very similar to what I’m picturing. The face is too round though. The face I’m seeing is definitely longer than the nose. Oh and, it’s a guy. And human. :smiley:
