Geez, Tibs, way to make me feel like an ass. I was thisclose to posting “Tiburon is okay once you get past all the sucking” or something like that. NOW I have to say that Tiburon is funny, thoughtful, and smart as a whip, and from what I hear has a licky butt.

Jane D’Oh is flat-out cool. I’ve really enjoyed her company in the short time I’ve known her (and appreciated her patience).
Superdude is a Nice Guy, with capitals, and a Cubs fan to boot, which makes everyone better in my estimation. Funny and sweet – I will vouch for him to single girls everywhere.
ShibbOleth’s intelligence and wit come through in 90% of his posts here. The other ten percent are just naughty. I like him.
I really enjoyed kicking DynoSaur’s ass at darts. The rest of him is pretty cool I guess, but I recommend that everyone get in line and kick his ass at darts.
porcupine seems to me to be one of those people that goes out of her way to make someone feel comfortable.
Just recently, I met Hamlet, Judith Prietht and Random for the first time, and was highly entertained by all. I’d met MikeG before and I’m willing to bet you can always count on him for a good story over a beer.
So many others! Zyada & rjk – if they were any cuter together I’d duct tape them and lock them in a closet; Akatsukami, who should not be legally allowed near a Trivial Pursuit board; the newly christened Boyo Jim, who is great to have a chat with…I’m going to have to stop because I keep coming up with names and I have to take a shower.

I single out December,Sam Stone, Dinsdale and Shodan as my faves (and i like Shodans trademark ‘regards, Shodan’ at the end of every post no matter how vehemently he has disagreed with you) All four are brilliant, funny and understanding and they make my day. Plenty of others of course, but those four are the best me thinks.
I’m all worried about posting names, because I love EVERYBODY, and I can’t name you all, but I don’t want anyone to feel left out… Nevertheless I’ll pull a coupla names out of the air for special treatment, and hope that people I forget will forgive me…
My Trek Dopers, of course, for being incredibly nerdy, thoroughly hilarious, and just all-round fun; among the shining stars are vivalostwages (whose name always looks like Viva Los Twages to me), NoClueBoy, Carni, Tars and The Panda (who doesn’t exist, but really should). Of course there are others, those are just the first names to spring to mind.
My list of Superstar Dopers also includes Eve and Rue, for being such wonderfully gifted writers - their posts are a joy to read; FairyChatMom, who just strikes me as really sweet and lots of fun; and Shirley Ujest who has my favorite username of ALL.
I have to stop now, or I’m just going to keep listing and listing. And then probably die of sugar shock.

I would like to thank all those who gave me kind words during my recent meltdown in a thread I won’t link to, since I’d rather forget the whole sordid mess. Especially I thank those who sent me emails, which meant a lot. Shadez, Truthbot, TVeblen, jjimm, and especially Scribble, thanks a whole bunch. And Guinastasia, [ SIZE=1]whom I’ve had a secret crush on for years,[/SIZE]thanks for the kind words in the OP.
Having said that, the posters whose musings I have enjoyed for the past couple of years are too numerous to mention. Thanks to all.

I loves redboss. Something about him just makes me want to hug him, and everytime I see him post, I have to go email him and tell him how much I like him. He is probably somewhat frightened by this, but he shouldn’t be…I am just always touched by the compassion and forthrightness. Very good guy, our redboss.
I can’t even name all the people who posted and emailed me privately in my threads about having trouble with my husband. I so desperately needed to vent and get some support, and so many dopers came through for me. Thanks to you all. I just went back and re-read those posts, and now I want to hug all of you all over again.
And if I ever meet polycarp, I think I will burst into tears, because he is just that kind and loving.

A certain sequential thread began soon after I joined and as such became my initiation to life on the SDMB. I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with many of the participants such as twickster47 who is not only my board crush but we also discovered that we have much in common. I could always count on koeeoaddi to post just before or after me, always with a humorous comment. Osiris gave us a slice of his gaming life in between Hawaiian weather reports. It was always great to hear what was up with Lobsang over in the UK, while vivalostwages gave us the southern California slant on things. I still worry about how BioHazard is faring with his hot dates, horrendous job, and problems with the local police.
The shameless flirtations of Homebrew and swampbear left me saying homebear and swampbrew for days on end; sperfur and Q.E.D. picked up right where Homebrew and swampbear left off with some of the sweatiest flirtation I’ve yet seen here on the board. And last but not least I must mention our self-proclaimed ruler of the universe from Vermont, StarvingButStrong who proved to be a benevolent presence and was kind enough to appoint me chef-meister. I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention that Coldfire checked in with a sequential post of his own now and then, but more importantly was kind enough to allow this most mundane and pointless of threads continue for all of 107 pages.
I also loved jjimm’s secret shame thread - we all could use a little more of that kind of catharsis. I know I will enjoy getting to know more of you in the days ahead.
