<puts out the coffee and lefse>
Seems to me we’ve gained some new Nordic Dopers in the past few months… So, who’s here?

Uh… sniff sniff did I smell fresh kaffe?
I am in Copenhagen Denmark.
[homer] mmmmm lefse…[/homer]
Old-time lurker from Sweden here. I have no idea what lefse is. Småkakor? Rulltårta?
Tja A transplant here, but close enough.
Should do a Scandope, I vote for Malmö
:tar lite kaffe:
Trondheim( only a student not my home town), Norge.
And I have noticed it too, lots of Scandinavians with low posts counts (like me).
I hope I count - English ex-pat abroad - lived in Bergen currently in Stavanger moving back to Bergen on Wednesday :D. As for the lefse comment I am suffering from a severe mid afternoon sugar craving and I am not entirely certain what they are (they remind me of thin pancakes but I am probably wrong) but I know they are nice.

Google shows me it looks like pandekager, but with potato.

Anybody want some weinerbrød?
another swede.
and I do agree with a ScanDope. Where? Doesn’t really matter, so long as it’s central enough (Sweden, I’d say, since we’re in the middle of it all ).
/R
An English ex-pat here in Copenhagen.
I’d second Iteki that Malmo sounds like a decent place to meet up, although I am biased…it’s only over the bridge!
:wanders off to find fresh kaffe and tries to avoid the locals laughing at his terrible Danish accent:
hej, hei & hälsningar everyone!
I´m not actually living in Scandinavia at the moment, but I guess my Finnish roots count? Lived in Helsinki as a kid, too… i jag kan prata svenska ocksa (en liten bit)…
I´m waiting for Kantalooppi to check in - though I believe there´s another Finn here on the boards, too?
Olen Hesassa toukokuun lopussa - MiniFinndope ?
what is lefse, anyway?
I want some blabärssoppa!!!
A DP from Finland chiming in from Canada. AFAIK Finland isn’t a part of Scandinavia, but what the hell, according to my father he singlehandedly stopped the Russians from invading Scandinavia, and that must count for something.
Hej!
Danish expat in LA checking in.
[hint]Coffee is always nice, but it’s kinda warm for it over here…[/hint] A cold beer ? What a great idea! If you happen to have a Grøn Tuborg - nah, no glass for me, it’s already in glass. <Spiny opens bottle with table knife in one fluid motion> - ah!
grey_ideas, people make fun of your accent? Slap them upside the head from me. Any foreigner who learns Danish is to be given encouragement, dammit.
I probably won’t make it to a ScanDope - damn. I’ll be there in spirit, though.
Well, I lived on Fyn for a year and a summer. I’ll have a Citron sodavand, tak.
An infrequent poster from Grimstad, Norway checking in. No lefse for me, I just had breakfast
Hejsa
Long time lurker checking in from Copenhagen, Denmark.
No, no, not Malmö. Stockholm. That way, when I lurch off the cruise ship all green and sea-sick, I won’t have to worry about more traveling in things that move and sway and…excuse me…[brawp] (Because it’s all about me, after all. :))
Yup. Helsinki, Finland, me. I know we’re technically not Scandinavian, but Nordic anyway…
Hei! I live in Trondheim, Norway (came here to study and got stuck afterwards). I’ve been lurking a while, but when I saw an opportunity to brag unashamedly about Norway (in one of the gay marriage threads) some latent patriotism woke up and I got out of lurking mode.
Swede from Malmö here. If I lean out the window, the weather is clear, and I squint, I… just… can’t quite make out the bridge leading to grey_ideas.
British ex-pat here, living in Stockholm, checking in.
Hej and all that.
