Sorry for the nastiness, fellow Dopers, but that’s what I did.
Lynn banned me. Understandable. I emailed and apologised to her and Scotticher for my crap.
Lynn reinstated my posting privileges, and Scotticher called me at home, after I emailed her my phone number. Scotticher was very gracious and sweet on the phone (as she is in her posts), and Lynn was very kind and fair to allow me to resume posting.
Call me a dipwad (after all, my username is P.T. Smegma), but I think we have two very valuable and cool ladies on the boards.
Except for the fact that Scotticher still won’t back down in our mutual rivalry for the affections of Johnny L.A.;), she is one of the best of us. I’ve been lucky enough to talk to her by phone several times, and she is a true sweetheart.
As for Lynn Bodoni, I’m still indebted to her for the change of username she set up a few weeks ago, and I’m sorry about the incident in the Pit this morning. From now on, I will say almost all the mods aren’t “jackbooted Nazi thugs interested in running roughshod over newbies”.

I’ve got it! I’ll back away from the keyboard and calm down before posting in anger. I think I’ve always done the sarcasm bit better than frothing rage.
That was a very thoughtful apology PT…we do understand that you are a passionate individual…and some of us “also sarcastic” folk have beenthere/donethat/tshirt/video…as I just told a fellow doper the other day, it is hard to see your smirk online, so, be careful.
(P.S. I live about 5 miles north of you…on the Res. I watched the local news last night for “Everett man goes postal, throws computer out 4th floor window…film at 11:00” )
