In all seriousness, this idea is much more specific than the one you posited initially, that if women ruled the world their greater empathy and sensitivity would more or less put an end to war. Part of the reason you got such a strong and negative reaction was the generality of the claim, and your insistence on repeating it yet refusing to back it up. Then you went ahead and modified it as it suited the state of the argument at that moment.
Next time, if there is a specific point you want to debate, at least phrase it so that you’re addressing the specific point you want to make.
Even though that theory has been disproven in dozens of ways in your thread? What more proof do you need that you are wrong? The motto of the Straight Dope is “Fighting Ignorance Since 1973,” is that meaningless to you?
The evidence so far (that I am able to glean from this thread, at any rate) is that, no you don’t think that. If you did, you would have been presenting facts and citations that support the conclusion, and this Pitting wouldn’t have gained the traction it patently has.
I’ll grant that it’s quite likely you feel that way, though. In which case your contribution to the conversation may have been better received in IMHO.
