Tom, I’m voting for the person I think is most likely to be Scum. If I knew that Thing Fish were innocent, then I would vote strategically to save him, but there’s a big difference between thinking that the case against someone is weak, and knowing that they’re innocent.
so you know fishy to be not innocent as opposed to others?
How do you get that? I said that I don’t know that he is innocent; not that I do know he’s not innocent.
I don’t know why I am even bothering with you people anymore, but…
This is a bunch of crap, and anyone who voted for me based on it is either scum or a complete moron.
I said I didn’t know what to make of the sudden swing to Drain Bead; on **amrussel’s **home planet, that apparently translates to
" the belief that the DB votes are a scum-led distraction from peeker ".
WRT to the change in my description of my thought on the Drain Bead wagon, OK, I don’t know what the hell I was thinking. Chronos accurately divulged that I thought it was dubious at first, but wanted to look at it again, then concluded that it was in fact dubious…but I didn’t express that clearly, and I can understand people being suspicious of that. Damn slender reason for a vote, though.
And, as I repeatedly said very clearly, I unvoted peeker because ***I don’t think it is good policy to lynch a possible Doc early in the game ***(though apparently several of you mouth-breathers think it’s just dandy). The fact that I continued to express suspicion of him, and expressed the belief that he should be lynched in mid-game unless confirmed before then, is here distorted into me trying to encourage others to vote for him without doing so myself. He completely ignores the fact that I voted for Boozy precisely BECAUSE he voted for peeker despite his claim. How could I possibly have more clearly expressed my absolute opposition to the idea of voting for peeker at that point in the game??
Re AllWalker, I put an FOS on him (without using the term) because he seemed cavalier about the prospect of peeker being lynched. I didn’t vote for him because I was already voting for someone who had actually voted for peeker. I also made the same mistake Cat did regarding the vote timing thing (I didn’t just “notice Cat’s suspicion and decide to throw it in”); not all of us have the time to go back and meticulously research every single comment we made. When AllWalker went back and showed that I was mistaken, I promptly apologized.
WRT to the BillMC wagon, at the time I made that comment, it looked that he was going to get lynched, and I was voting for someone who I thought was scummiest, but clearly wasn’t going to get lynched. If I had strong feelings against the BillMC lynch, I should have moved my vote to one of the vote leaders. In the interest of accountability, I thought I should explicitly say why I wasn’t doing that.
And with Boozy, I don’t know what the scum motivation was, but I didn’t believe his explanation of how that came to pass, and I believe in lynching liars. Again, amrussel is completely ignoring the main reason I voted for Boozy, which was that he was voting for peeker.
I wish for all of our sakes that I had had the time to post the above when it would have counted, but really, was it that hard to just read what I said and compare it to what amrussell said I said? Any Townies on my bandwagon should be ashamed of yourselves, and that goes double for those of you who continued voting for me after the claim.
See you in the forbidden thread.
Oh great, suicide by mod.
Not only antiTown, but antigame.

Fucking glitchy doubleposting pice of crap. Grrr.
No. Game rules of this particular game do not forbid editing. Players may enforce as they like, of course. (G. En Espagne edited earlier I believe).
At this point, he’s what, three votes in the lead? And he posted that about 20 minutes before the scheduled end of Day. I don’t think that can really be labeled “suicide”.
Vote Count:
Gryff(1):
Daphne(3): Gryff, Drain Bead, Chronos
Freudian Slit(4): AllWalker, Tiltawhirl, Tom Scud, peeker
Thing Fish(7): amrussell, Boozy Squid, CiaS, Normal Phase, Scuba Ben, Thing Fish, Guiri
Peeker (1): Alka Seltzer
The one in green.
So, is that the end of Day, then?
One would think so…well, a man can only wait around so long for his executioner.
I’m going to bed. Go Town.
The town spent much of the day discussing during construction. After yesterDay’s incident, it was determined that the townsfolk would need a system that didn’t leave them all vulnerable to an exposed rampaging robot. So they built a robot deathtrap–a sealed chamber filled with magnets and electricity. If a robot was in there–bam–instant death. If a human went in…maybe they would survive the massive electric shocks? Possibly?
Anyway, now that it’s finished, the group set off to find Thing Fish. He wasn’t far: only a few feet away, smacking himself with a rock and muttering.
"stupid lousy :smack: no-good commie :smack: backstabbing dangerous…
“What’s he doing?” asked Allwalker.
“Looks like he’s trying to commit suicide.” Responded Tom Scud. “Doing a lousy job of it too.”
Chronos walked up and grabbed him bodily. “I can help with that!” he beamed, as he threw Thing Fish into the machine.
It sparked and sizzled, and Thing Fish’s fried body was tossed into the communal grave with the other dead. A search of his house revealed thousands of survival guides of various types, along with a martial arts training course. Clearly, Thing Fish was a man dedicated to living.
Thing Fish, the Crazy Survivalist (Bodyguard) is dead.
Freudian Slit spent her time apart, building sculptures out of mashed potatoes and chicken wire, and searching the town high and low for…something. By the Day’s conclusion, she was staring at a funny boulder.
“Hey Freudian.” Drain Bead poked her. “You there?”
But she did not move. The rest of them looked at the rock for a while, but gave up and left, unable to work out why it was important.
For all intents and purposes, Freudian Slit is out of the game until she returns (though it is unlikely). She does not count towards anyone’s numbers and cannot be voted or targeted.
It is now Night 2. Day 3 starts at 9:35 PM EDT on Friday, October 17.
Remember to PM both mods to avoid the possibility of your Night actions being lost.
:smack:
Stupid time zones.
Aw, man, couldn’t you have made AllWalker the executioner again?
Oh right. Ignore me, my head’s not right today.
Well. I apparently suck at this game. Sorry, Thing.
Shit.
Sorry for not believing you Thing Fish!
The crazy bodyguard claim made your night 1 actions much more understandable than the Doc claim.
Yes, I am in Spain but I realize that’s a piss poor excuse for not unvoting after the more believable claim.
5 players didn’t even vote on Day 2 (Daphne. Freudian. OaOW, OreDigger, USC Diver), is that more or less pro-town than voting for the mislynch?
3 of the votes on Thing Fish were non-movable (Boozy, Thing Fish, I include my own poor “in bed” excuse).
I believe (from memory) there were no posts from the other 4 voters since the initial claim and certainly not after the subsequent claim (amrussell, CIaS, Normal Phase, Scuba Ben).
A sad night for Town.
Daphne, is the bar open? Or are you still busy with Drain? I’ll help myself if you don’t mind.
At least you had the balls to keep your vote off him. I was dumb enough to revote AFTER the first claim! Who sucks more?
Mislynching happens.
Mislynching a power role is bad, but again it happens. With this many power roles floating around it will happen again, no doubt.
Not voting, though, is incredibly bad.
Town bodyguard, for the record.
