I stand corrected, I meant to refer to Day End votes. The same applies to **Daphne ** who unvoted earlier. Day End at midnight made it more difficult for a number of us.
The other three non voters have been absent from here for over a week, Oredigger& USC don’t seem to have posted anywhere on SDMB.

What’s your take on the Politician role? Does it seem town or scum to you?
In previous games I have played it has been a town role, but that doesn’t mean it always has to be.

In a game sense, I’m sorry for being wrong. More importantly, in an out of game sense, I’m sorry for offending you. I never meant to imply that you were making up real life incidents, or that you were cheating. And I’m very sorry you read it that way. For what it’s worth, what I was getting at was that you did post two hours before your claim to confirm the time-frame - I thought that you should have typed the words, “I’m a doctor, kthxbye” right then, because time was already tight.
But that’s by the by. We play Mafia for entertainment, and the point is for us all to have fun. I’ve ruined that for you, and instead caused you aggravation and insult. I’m truly sorry.

Bah. Sorry, ThingFish. I’d say I wish I’d been around for your claim, but I can’t honestly say I’d have gotten it right if I had been. Maybe after I catch up, things will be more clear.
CIAS, I’m in New York, but have had Wednesday afternoon/evening business for the last several weeks. The other big game I’m in (on the Giraffe boards) has been ending Days Wednesday evenings consistently and I haven’t been around for one yet. Evenings/nights are almost always rough for me in terms of keeping up, but not to be around at all has been frustrating, especially with both games ending on Wednesday evening this week. My control freak nature is not taking it well.
I doubt many people have my general issues with evenings, but for the sake of the Europeans (and for the sake of anyone who has attracted their votes), future Day ends might want to avoid that time period.
Having caught up, I’m no clearer on whether I would have changed my vote. I’ve never heard of a self-protecting Bodyguard before; that would have been a stumbling block for me.
ThingFish, I also read about your RL issues, and I hope things turned out well.

regardless, i believe that while it sucks to lose fishy from a game standpoint the overall impact and data elements may actually be a net town gain.
and fishy i will express apologies to you. i caught your message on Day one and didn’t follow through. i went a different direction on Night one and because of that may have changed some of the dynamics. stupid second guessing and all that. oh well, well played - don’t kick yourself because i fucked up.

and my comment to fishy is because i wonder if being blocked was a function of someone performing an action or whether it could have been a function of who i was attempting to visit.

To echo the others, Thing Fish–this game is supposed to be fun and I’m sorry it became an aggravation to you.
When electing Leader next Day, can we please please please get a firm commitment on time of Leaders’ vote, if not day of week? The Thing Fish roleclaim might have been averted his mislynch if we could have had a quorum of players active at end of Day.
That sucked. Once he came out with the Bodyguard title and mechanics, I found his claim completely believable, but with at least three unchangeable votes (Boozy, the sleeping Guiri, and his own) there really wasn’t any way to save him at that point.
I think the Politician is probably anti-Town. Ridiculous to make a guy vote for himself before he got a chance to claim.
