After one minute of inactivity my screen saver slide show begins. When I hit a key or move the mouse the saver goes away but the window I had open is now smaller. If I hit the restore button it makes it even smaller and then I have to hit the maximize button to bring it back to full screen. It didn’t used to do this I and I don’t remember changing any settings. How do i get it to stop doing that? Windows 7 Professional and Chrome, if that matters.
Sounds like the screen saver is running at a different resolution than the desktop and it’s not properly going back to the desktop’s resolution when exiting the screen saver.
Sometimes this can be a problem with the display driver. Updating it might help.
If you can force the screen saver to run at the desktop’s resolution then it won’t need to switch resolutions, which can fix the problem without actually fixing anything.
The display driver was updated to no avail. The driver does crash momentarily on a regular basis so maybe its video card itself.
