Scrubs Fans: Heather Graham in discussions to join cast

CODE BLONDE : As first hinted in the new issue of TV Guide magazine, Heather Graham is in preliminary discussions to join the cast of my favorite TV show, Scrubs, this fall as a full-fledged series regular. “She’d play an attending shrink who comes in and [exposes] everyone’s flaws and all their bull----,” says exec producer Bill Lawrence. “The character’s a real catalyst to mess things up for everybody.” Pretty girls are so like that.

That sounds like a really bad idea, but given that Scrubs is already in rapid decline I suppose this shouldn’t come as a surprise to me.

When so many agree with me I feel so smart . I thought I would be the first to say this, I thought she was more popular than this. I heard an old boyfriend of hers on the radio(I think it was Elijah Blue Allman) who said she was as dumb as a bag of hammers. That confirmed what I thought when I first saw her acting. There is no intelligence in those eyes. I pray for Scrubs.

I thought she was quite good in Gus van Sant’s Drugstore Cowboy and was quite shocked when her subsequent career seemed to simply demonstrate that that was simply a happy accident (I’ll also admit she was OK in Boogie Nights but suffered in comparison to the top-notch cast surrounding her).

Scrubs has survived Tara Reid, how bad can adding Heather [who is a much sexier, prettier and a better actress], be? It is the central 4 and the goofy seinfeldian supporting cast that makes this a special show & she can probably add to that.

I was a big fan of Twin Peaks, and I don’t remember Heather Graham. I was about to call “BS!” but I see from the IMDB that you are correct.

Actually, I didn’t watch much of the second season, so that might explain it.
