SD Mixed Cd Exchange?

Has there ever been a Straight Dope Mixed Cd Exchange?, Similar to the white elephanting/Candy Exchange/T shirt exchange?

It seems like a really good idea.

Anyone interested (and want to organize, im so sloppy it would never get off the ground)
I have tonnes of music i want to share!!!

I believe it’s been tried, but it was canceled due to copyright concerns.

Obviously I don’t speak for the SD, but it’s my understanding that it would be okay to exchange “real” store-bought CDs but not burned ones.
