SDMB 2012 Postcard Exchange, Round Two!

I received two more today:

A wicked cool- shaped one from Cunctator and a beautiful animal photgraphy one from Anaamika.

Am I the first to get all three?

I’m glad that you like it IvoryTowerDenizen. I was walking past one of the tourist shops near my office and it certainly caught my eye.

Both of the cards that I posted to the USA have been delivered within a week. That’s excellent service on the part of the Australian and US postal systems!

Cards barely posted by deadline due to my travels. Passed by home to find the lovely Jacqueline Kennedy in my mailbox thanks to Elendils Heir!

I got from lsura today! A cute postcard of pandas, with a cool Aloha stamp.

I created a flickr group for people that want to post pics of their sent or received postcards. Please don’t post a picture of something that you sent until it is received to avoid spoilers. Feel free to post your pictures elsewhere too.

Good thought! I’ll add mine once take pictures of them.

Hooray! I would have loved to send out Albany ones but they are hard to get. :frowning:

I’m a baaad postcard exchange organizer. I missed my own deadline, because yesteday was our last day of holidays and Mrs Piper and I spent it playing with the Cub, who goes back to daycare today.

However, they’re all written and stamped and I’ll post them today from the post box in front of the Court of Queen’s Bench, downtown Regina.

I’ve chosen some nice War of 1812 stamps, issued by Canada Post to commemorate the last time you folks down south tried to conquer us.

And the tally of those who have recieved all three:

IvoryTowerDenizen

I think she’s the only one.

silenus, Elendil’s Heir, and Cunctator are all in the running for being the first to have all three of their cards delivered. (I’m curious to know what the third of the Elendil’s Heir’s Kennedy-themed cards will be!)

Thanks, jack! Have joined up - will post when I have some.

Sorry I forgot to post here but mine went out on saturday!

great - thanks!

I am becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the availability of and pictures on Toronto postcards. I think I’m going to start making my own.

Still working on the cards from Angola - not holding out much hope though :frowning:

I’m ticked at international mail. I got a card from Oz in less than a week, but my card going the other direction is still in transit, apparently. What did they do, toss it onto a slow boat to China?

Emergency protocol 7B card, to wit, one London double-decker, duly arrived today from Agent Tapioca Dextrin! He’s made it that far at least, lads!

Card #2 received today, with a group of giraffes and zebras. Thanks anaamika!

Added the two I’ve received from this round, and 2/3 from the last round (in my cleaning, I’ve set one from the last round someplace stupid. It’ll turn up and I’ll post it then).

It’s one of my favorite pictures of her: Tumblr: Image

Still no postcards arrived here. Grrrr.

Received a lovely card this Monday from Lsura – it’s the golden dome of Georgia’s capitol building in Atlanta, with “sparkles” !!!

No, my nickname is not “Sparkle” (that’s a friend’s nickname), but, because of her, I’ve learned to love all things sparkly

Mucho thanks.

If there is to be a ROUND THREE, sign me up.

Let the summer  fun continue

and I haven’t checked my mail lately …

who knows what lurks …

Hooray! That’s two!

By the way, Northern Piper, thanks for organizing this - I’ve definitely enjoyed taking part in it!
