You could try CBS’ website and see what they offer. I shouldn’t think it would be 1/10 as interesting with a known outcome. That might just be me.
For me, it’s a tale of two brackets:
EXCELLENT
EAST: I went perfect in the first round, picking 8/8 winners (including a good call on 14 SF Austin over 3 W. Virginia)
WEST: I went 7/8 (only loss was Baylor), with good calls on Northern Illinois and VCU
DUMPSTER FIRE
SOUTH: Only 3 winners (the 1, 2, and 3 seeds–how hard was that?); everything else was a loss
MIDWEST: I went 4 for 8, including a good call on AR-Little Rock, but lost 3 Sweet 16 teams and of course Michigan St., who I had winning it all. The Midwest is a sea of red marks for me
Sanity prevails. Duke 71, Yale 64.
On bended knee, with devoutness to Bobby Knight, Hoosiers WIN! Indiana 73, Kentucky 67.
Anytime Kentucky (one and done) looses, I’m a happy guy…
The number 11 Zags handily beat the number 3 Utah Runnin’ Utes? F*ck Seeds. I’m going with 538 next year. Sheesh!
You and me both! Go IU! Go Big Red!
Release the quacken!
I hadn’t checked until now but there is ONE bracket that got submitted to the “Straight Dope” group. The bracket name is “85 Flavors of Win” and the owner is “LuckyNumber85”. This bracket has 610 points and 880 possible points remaining, which would add it to the current three-way tie for 14th in the “SDMB Bracketeers” group.
I don’t know who’s idea it was to do the “AT&T at the Half” segment with puppets but that was freakin’ hilarious. I just about lost it when “Kenny” tried to drink his coffee and spilled it.
OK over Oregon.
Nova over Kansas.
I’m done.
That Villanova - Kansas game was ugly. Neither team played well. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many airballs in one game. Nova played less crappy, though, and moves on to play Oklahoma. Good luck with that!
I really don’t care who wins. For me, it was a great tournament when Indiana beat Kentucky. Then a horrible tournament when North Carolina beat Indiana.
'Nova over Oklahoma
UNC over 'Cuse (although my heart is with 'Cuse on this one - Boeheim’s last realistic shot)
Then UNC over 'Nova.
Since Villanova’s in the Final Four, this Bored of the Rings excerpt seemed relevant:
If I’d had to guess which of these two games this evening would result in a 95-51 score, it would not have been Villanova-Oklahoma.
And my 4-1 parley comes home. Why can’t I do this when actual money is on the line?
If I’m reading this right, it has come down to Basset Hound 3 for UNC, vs Frosty’s Funky Foibles for Villanova.
Congrats Frosted Glass! “Frosty’s Funky Foibles” wins this year’s tournament pool on a last second 3-pointer!
What a crazy game! That was easily the best ending I’ve ever seen in a tourney. Glad my Big East love bracket actually did something.
