I thought I lost when I went home tonight because I didn’t know 30 yard field goals were worth 4 points.
I know you’re going to complain about the randomness of kickers. But I almost lost because of the randomness of Philip Rivers, Roddy White, Marques Colston, and Ray Rice. You might as well talk about the randomness of defenses. I’ve had 5 weeks of negative points. This week I had 27 points.
This wasn’t a kicker issue, it’s just a coincidence that your kicker was the last guy to play. I only tend to get irritated by the kicker thing when one scores 2 and the other scores 20.
This one is so close anything could’ve changed the balance. Obviously if I had started Miller or Bowe. If PHI/MIN hadn’t been a late game with Peterson as a game time decision, I’d probably have started him.
Or if that TD hadn’t been overturned tonight, Longwell would’ve had an extra point instead of FG. Or if Santana Moss had been credited with just one less yard, he wouldn’t have gotten the 1 point 85 yard bonus… or if Ray Rice hadn’t gotten .5 points for a reception that went for no gain, if Buehler hadn’t missed a fucking extra point… etc. etc.
Oh well. You won. A pretty remarkable playoffs after barely squeaking in. Congratulations.
