Hope this game tonight is a 6-3 final…
Kelly’s Heroes need 103 points out of Roethlisberger and Nugent to beat me…
Gridbirds needs 22 out of Chad Johnson, Jeff Reed, and the Steelers D.
Btw, Omni, you might not like a 6-3 final score since the Steelers D would probably be putting up 20 themselves in that scenario. It’d be funny if you lost by less than 4 points, so that it was the Patriots scoring negative points against the JUGGERNAUT BROWNS OFFENSE that cost you the game.
A few other games are technically still open but Gresham or Mendenhall would have to have 35+ point games.
Well, at least that Brandon Jackson investment is finally starting to pay off…
Stop kicking field goals, damnit.
Hey Cincy, hows about you actually catch one of those interceptions!
It’s sad that as a Bengals fan, I’m cheering for either a catch by Ocho, a sack or an INT right now.
A TD by the Bengals lowers the Steelers D score, but it opens the possibility of another FG.
Shit!
Yes!!!
ETA: NO!
Wow. That was entirely too close.
I loaded up the league page after CJ caught that meaningless pass and I was up 0.20 points. Then I clicked the matchup page and the score adjusted late so I was losing. In short, motherfucker!
So it did turn out Omni would’ve won had he just not started a defense. Word of advice: the Cleveland Hillises are unstoppable and you should not start a defense against them.
Is there any interest in extending the trade deadline past this friday? I meant to bring this issue up at the beginning of the year but forgot. I like to leave the option open for people to play around with later in the year, and I don’t think anyone with a bad record is going to purposely trade away their team or anything like that.
Not a big deal anyway, and it’s probably an issue I should’ve addressed before the season started, but I’m open to opinions or objections.
I would be up for a trade extension. I’m not really looking hard to move anyone in this league but I think it would be nice to make sure everyone can get there affairs in order and maybe I’ll get an offer that I would be up for.
I have no objections to extending the trade deadline either. Similar to Frosted Glass, I’m not moving to make any major moves either but am always willing to listen as the rest of you grovel at my feet and beg for the services of the mighty Marshawn “Remember that time I had more carries than yards?” Lynch.
Since there were no objections, I’m extending the trade deadline by two weeks.
Also, I’ll remind everyone of how we handle the players from Thursday night games in regard to the waiver wire. Yahoo automatically puts all players on waivers from Sunday at 1pm until Tuesday night, to give everyone a shot at grabbing breakout free agents. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a waiver option for “put player on waivers at the start of their game”, which means that Thursday night players will be up for grabs after Thursday.
So we have a rule in place: you cannot pick up a player involved in a Thursday night game as a free agent after the game starts. If you’re interested in one of those players, wait until the Sunday at 1pm waiver period (where all players, including the ones from the Thursday night game go on waivers) and put a claim in for him then.
So, for example, if Ray Rice goes down tonight because he is cleaved in twain by an Atlanta defender, you don’t pick up McClain or McGahee as a free agent tonight - you wait until the Sunday-Tuesday waiver period and put in a bid then. Anyone who jumps the gun on this will have it reverted.
Any questions?
Taz you need a WR and kicker.
Taz, you’re screwed on the WR but your kicker slot is empty so you can still stick in Akers for the Monday night game.
Doesn’t look like it’s going to matter though.
Is not setting a lineup typically a problem in this league?
No, people that make a habit of not setting their lineups don’t get invited back. Sometimes you’ll get an odd week here and there where someone forgot or was out of town or whatever.
