SDMB All-Pro fantasy football league 2010

Gridbirds has Jeff Reed, Steelers D, and a 6 point lead. Court Jesters has Brandon Tate and Rashard Mendenhall.

Kelly’s Heros has Vick, DeSean Jackson, and a 13 point lead. Retrovertigo has Tom Brady and Jeremy Maclin.

The Great Ones needs Mike Wallace, McCoy, and Hernandez to score 33 to beat Chitwood.

Isotopes has an outside shot against Frosted Glass if McNabb throws TDs to Moss all day.

It’s halftime and I’d settle for Wallace and Hernandez to just get a couple of targets. Apparently Gronkowski was the NE tight end to play this week…

Still to be decided:

Kelly’s Heros needs Jackson and Vick to outscore Maclin by 25 points.

Great Old Ones needs 3 out of McCoy… seems pretty likely.

Isotopes needs McNabb and Moss to make up 38 points against Frosted’s Eagles defense. I guess that’s at least synergistic - a big night from Moss means Moss and McNabb are doing well, and the eagles defense will lose points…

Don’t know what the hell happened to Hernandez yesterday. A week ago I thought I’d plucked the next Antonio Gates out of obscurity…now I feel like I’m trying to pick one of Shanahan’s running backs. Hopefully McCoy won’t pull a hammy in warm-ups like Berrian did yesterday.

This is by far my quietest FF league and that’s a shame. The original purpose of creating this league was to try to get the SDMB’s best and most active players into a serious league, but the level of dedication seems to have drifted over the years. Don’t get me wrong, the level of competition is still good, but what makes these leagues involved and not like a random group of strangers is the interaction.

Munch! Respond to your trade offers please, even if you’re going to reject them. Just being on hold indefinitely sucks.

The only thing I need to hear is “Well-played Mr. Gaffer, well-played.” Well, that and a decent trade offer for Marshawn “I average 2.9 ypc this year” Lynch who, incidentally, is no longer darkening my bench with his unwholesome presence. Those of you not in 1st place…well, I guess that means just about everyone besides Senor Beef…feel free to pick him up with my blessing.

Woops, nm.

Well at least Carpenter didn’t put up negative points. I love it when my defenses go crazy and backslide as much as possible so its good to see my kicker not miss chip shots since he doesn’t really get a chance.

I guess there really is a silver lining when one of your starters puts up a doughnut.

My days of wrecking all that stand before me are certainly coming to a middle.

Isotopes needs Phillip Rivers to make up a 19 point gap plus whatever Nate Kaeding scores to beat Gridbirds.

Ellis needs an epic day out of the Chargers D to beat Court Jesters.

Frosted needs to plug in McMichael or Gates.

Trading deadline is this friday, so if you want to get something done, get cracking at it.

I don’t want to talk about the trade I declined from Senor Beef.

Can we just say that the two players involved outscored your entire team this week?

Edit: You actually didn’t get the worst of it. I made a Hillis/Bowe offer to a guy in the auction league, and he had to play me this week. He got creamed by like 100 points by the players he rejected.

This is how the league would rank if we were playing a pure points league, as of week 11:

Woo hoo, I’m the best at being the worst.

Wow Beef, from top to bottom that was about the best day of fantasy I’ve seen from an entire time. Wouldn’t have mattered much who you started. What did you get…something like 15+ TDs between your bench and starters? Wow.

Now if I can just coax 10 measly points out of Gore tonight I can at least keep up in the wins column.
