SDMB All-Pro fantasy football league 2012

SenorBeef, I’ve got a pending trade with court jesters that I’d like to complete before tomorrow’s games. Can you take a look? Thanks.

Done. Great Old Ones gives up Steve Smith, Court Jesters gives up Aaron Hernandez.

Kelley’s Heroes and I won today, moving us up the #1/2 slots since Chitwood lost. We have one more week of the regular season. If I can win, I’m going to get a bye. Same with Kelley’s.

Great Old Ones has a great shot at a bye with a win if either of the current teams lose because of his score. Chitwood has a shot at a bye if he wins and one of the top 2 lose and Great Old Ones loses too, or if both top ones lose.

Looks like we have a fight for the last playoff slot only - we have 4 7-5 teams and only 3 slots for them. Isotopes plays the Gridbirds, so the winner of that one can ensure a playoff spot. But the loser may still get in, if Omni loses too.

Easy there big fella. That’s why they play the games!

As it stands right now, it looks like Omni and Isotopes will be tied for the last playoff spot… what is the first tiebreaker? Total points for? Head to head?

Oh, no offense to either Court Jesters or Omni who, I realize, can both potentially win with big performances tonight… don’t want to incur their Chitwood-like wrath by prematurely discounting their potential win.

We have our playoffs.

Bye week

1 Chitwood (Jimmy Chitwood)
2 Exploding Pancakes (SenorBeef)
3 Great Old Ones (Ol’ Gaffer)
vs
6 Isotopes (Petey)

4 Kelley’s Heroes (Munch)
vs
5 The Gridbirds (brianjedi)

Please check your PMs, PlanetCharlie - I’ve sent you two but have had no reply. Thanks!

Holy shit. 47 points from the 'Hawks defense? That’s tough man, really tough.

In other news, I need a decent night from the Big 3 (Brady, Hernandez, Gostkowski) to salvage an otherwise poor showing. C’mon shootout!

Great Old Ones needs 24 out of Brady, Hernandez, Gostkowski - almost a given - to beat Isotopes. Kelly’s Heroes has defeated the Gridbirds.

That gives us a probable semifinals of

1 Chitwood vs 4 Kelly’s Heroes
2 Exploding Pancakes vs 3 The Great Old ones

I always thought a good idea for seeding would be to let the higher seeds pick their matchups, rather than just playing the lowest seed, becaue often they get the harder matchup even when they should be rewarded.

The bye teams this week would’ve scored

Chitwood 120.25
Exploding Pancakes 108.91

I’m a week late but if anyone wants to discuss the fantasy playoffs in general or the SDMB league playoffs, I started this thread.

I’ve been relatively lazy and undedicated this year at FF. I would’ve bid enough to win the Detroit defense had I remembered, and now my opponent has them. Hope that doesn’t make the difference in this game.

Bwahahahaha… (rubs hands gleefully)

Well, Beef it looks like you didn’t listen to the advice in the other thread either. My plan for total domination is now complete.

I kept going back and forth between Bryce Brown and Knowshon Moreno on the last minute, and man did I fuck that one up. I hope that isn’t the difference.

Last minute kicker switch to one of the highest projected guys against one of the weakest field goal defenses… shut out.

I fucking hate kickers.

Man, what a disaster of a day. Three leagues, three playoffs, three Jamal Charleses.

Thank god I didn’t really deserve to be in first to begin with.

Yikes. Ol’Gaffer is looking at a historically bad playoff performance if it keeps up like this.

Wow, halfway through the Pats-49ers game, I was ahead like 80 to 28 or something crazy. Then Tom Brady, Aaron Hernandez, and Stephen Gostkowski scored almost 60 points in the second half of that game. Now he has an 8 point lead, with just my defense left to play.

And a shutout kicker, ffs.

Holy shit. I was working yesterday and only had intermittent access to scores and stats. At one point in the afternoon I actually called a friend to check stats for me because I thought the yahoo app wasn’t updating. Highest scoring team of the year is potentially out because fantasy studs Doug Martin and victor Cruz, steeler-killer Danario Alexander, and waiver wire darlings Detroit D facing Ryan lindley, averaged about 3 points apiece. Ugh. What a game.

See you tonight SenorBeef.

I picked up both the titans and jets defenses. Now I need to figure out which to start.

But this wouldn’t have even been a game except that I picked up the highest scoring kicker this year going into this week going against one of the league’s most generous defense and they got fucking shut out. WHAT THE FUCK KICKERS FFS.
