SDMB All-Pro Fantasy Football League

Yeah, theres a lot wrong with that. I must say I was caught off guard by that one.

Crap. Sorry guys. My daily routine was disturbed today and it totally slipped my mind.

There were multiple claims on Holmes, but Ellis Dee wins him. I’ll also take care of the TE issue (he replaced Heap with Sypienowasfjasnf but it didn’t register… he e-mailed me before the game)

No one else was claimed, I’ll go about resolving roster issues now. Again, sorry. Free agency is open.

Ellis Dee: I go to Commissioner Tools, Edit Rosters, New York Fanboys, Edit Roster, Week 9, and Quinn what’shisface doesn’t appear anywhere on your roster. I’m not sure how to rectify the situation… maybe it’s the same bug that prevented you from using him.

Edit: maybe you dropped him while I was in the process of editing it? But it should remember your week 9 roster regardless, right?

Resolved the issue with your roster last week, Ellis Dee. I think.

Yep, I’m all set, thanks.

Trading deadline is coming up on the 16th.

Ellis Dee mentioned being maxed out on trade offers. Feel free to discuss trades on the thread here. I’ve been guilty of sending too many PMs myself… but I like the extra football chatter. Plus it could give other people an idea of what sort of deal you’re looking for, and they can make their own proposals.

Senor, I tried contacting you through the league web site for waiver picks. Fortunately, no one took my picks so I was still able to pick up the players. Do you have a filter for waiver picks, and did I run afoul of it?

You’re absolutely right. I was just really disorganized week and again I apologize. I’ll usually add/sort waiver claims in a text file as they come in. In this case, I remembered about the waiver thing way too late. So I scrambled to check my e-mail and post them. Because you’d made your claims earlier than everyone else, I accidentally skipped over that when I was reviewing claims.

If someone would’ve picked one of those guys up I’d have resolved it, but fortunately my error didn’t amount to something bigger. I’ll have to treat those like a regular claim though in terms of waiver priority.

I think the waiver system has been good for our league, and most weeks works well, but I totally dropped the ball this time around.

Anyone else having a problem getting to the Yahoo! sports sites?

Rosters that need adjustment:

Isotopes (technically your roster is set, but yahoo lists Branch at 0 projected points so I’m mentioning it)
The Concussions

I need a big night from Seattle tonight. Really big. Really, really big. Hasselback needs to chuck the ball about 90 times, and the defense needs to step up and allow SF negative points.

In my other league, I need Maurice Morris to run for 250 yards and 6 touchdowns.

SF, roll over and play patsy, please?

This might the worst weekend that I’ve ever had in fantasy football.

I just want the game tonight to be over so I can look ahead to next week with the hope that my studs might actually show up.

Plus losing the survival pool to the now one-win Rams is a stomach punch if I’ve ever seen one.

I’ve had a nasty case of food poisoning and it’s been difficult for me to be at the computer (doing anything but laying flat is making me feel like I’m going to puke) but I’ll try to do the waiver claims normally tomorrow. It would help if you guys sent your claims in by tomorrow afternoon… I may have the post the results early if I’m exhausted and have to sleep between 11 and 12… sleep is irratic and infrequent enough that I wouldn’t want to interrupt it to do the claims.

I’ll try to do things normally though.

So D_Odds, which Seahawk jersey are you buying? Do they sell a #00 “Defense” jersey? Perhaps a SF jersey?

I’ll have to look for a #00, as Engram and Burleson were quiet.

Reminder: Trade deadline ends Friday. I don’t know if that means midnight Friday morning or what, but I’d advise you to take a quick glances at rosters and make any offers you want to get done quickly. Also, check the league regularly over the next two days to see if anyone else has made an offer to you.

I’ve sent out a lot of offers in the last few days and have received replies on only two or three of them. I really want to make a deal for a quality WR, and I have RBs to offer. I know there’s at least one of you who needs a RB, but nobody seems to be checking their rosters much lately. Time’s running out!

Here’s a scoring chart. The sort order is the number of points scored. The number to the left is the actual yahoo rank based on record/score. Relative rank is where your yahoo rank is relative to the amount of points you scored. * means same position, negative numbers mean your yahoo rank is lower than your score, positive numbers means your yahoo rank is higher than your score.

After that is where people drafted, and their relative rank of total score to draft position (I drafted 7th, and am in 2nd, so I’m +5) - this isn’t meant to be a conclusive anything, I just find the numbers interesting so I include them.

Rank Name Record Score Rltv Rank; Draft #; Rltv Draft Rank

1. The Gridbirds 7-3 1196.57	*	1	-
2. Exploding Pancakes 7-3 1118.14	*	7	+5
4. Tazmanian Devils 6-4 1036.00	-1	6	+3
5. The Opposites 6-4 978.97	-1	10	+6
9. Isotopes 3-7 914.07	-4	11	+6
6. Frosted_Lightning 6-4 900.40	*	9	+3
10. Court Jesters 3-7 872.53	-4	3	-4
8. New York Fanboys 4-6 855.54	*	12	+4
7. The Concussions 6-4 848.18	+2	4	-5
3. Quentin's JAMmers 7-3 824.46 +7	8	-1
11. chitwood 3-7 786.76	*	2	-9
12. No Use For A Name 2-8 680.14	*	5	-7

Jammer’s is a full 7 places above where his score would put him, having a league-best (tied) 7-3 record with the third lowest score. Isotopes and Court Jesters tie for having it the worst the other way - 4 ranks below where their score is. There’s a bigger disparity than there was last year, where yahoo rank and score shook out pretty closely. There’s still time for it to even out before the end of the season though.

I was certainly pretty lucky in the early part of the year, stealing victories where I shouldn’t have. I think part of the reason my team has overachieved is because I’ve been so active as a manager, and I think a little skill snuck in there to help out too. It isn’t as if I drafted terribly well. but I was able to move around enough of my players to eventually create a positive situation.

My team has also come around as of late. Mine is one of two teams undefeated in the last 3 games, and I own the third highest per game scoring average in the league over that time. (Interestingly enough, Gridbirds has the highest average and yet owns a 1-2 record, and The Concussions has the 9th best average and a 2-1 record over that time.) Though, true to form, I also own the single worst score in any week, from any team in the league. Hopefully it was my early season shortcoming that was the anomaly, and that my team actually can score with the best of them!

Esoteric needs 8.49 points from Ben Watson to catch up tonight, but that’s with Elam still to play.

Tazmanian Devils needs more than 17.72 out of Lendale White and Gostkowski.

Tomorrow Isotopes needs Cutler to outscore Selvin Young by more than 5.2 points.

The Concussions needs Welker and the Denver defense to outscore Brandon Marshall by 21.69 points.
